Who do you guys think is the strongest (brute strength) character and fastest (speed) character in the entire DC universe (comics and shows). This includes villians, heroes and everyone else.

For fastest, I'd have to say it's a tie between Deadshot and "guys in a van". But if I had to choose, I'd say "guys in a van" since they were outracing the Flash, while Deadshot only outraced everybody else (mainly because they just stood there watching as Deadshot rode away).

LMAO!!! I was thinking of responding with Deadshot myself, but you beat me to it! And now that I think about it, I think you're on to something with "guys in a van"!

Har, har, har.
Erm, I'd venture and say Flash is the fastest, because he's had time since STAS to practice his running skills, so I'm pretty sure he could outrun Superman...
...who is the strongest member. When it comes to actual punches, Superman does the most, despite what people think. He's wailed on Mongul, Darkseid, er...
...Brainiac...
...that...green water serpent thingy...
Oh, the Manhunters, Lex Luthor...maybe Metamorpho.
Whatever, he's done his share of punching.
Next to him is certainly Wonder Woman, who can withstand buildings falling on her.
Of course Deadshot outran the league, he was on a motorcyle underground.
As for "guys in a van" outracing Flash, all I can say is that Flash probably doesn't go full speed at once if he knows he can avoid it. Maybe he's not at the point where breaking...I dunno...40 mph over a long period of time without hurting himself.
But of course, the real answer to those questions is that the producers needed to pad out the show to a decent length. And really, I don't mind at all, it makes for some intersting chase scenes. Screw logic.

Aren't Doomsday and the Imperiex both stronger then Superman?

Maybe in the comics, because that's where they exist. On the DCAU board we only discuss the animated programs.
As for Doomsday, I thought he and Superman were evenly matched. The only advantage was that Doomsday had those spikes sharp enough to cut Superman's skin. But they both fought to the point of exhaustion and death, so it turned out even.
I don't know how Imperix was defeated, you'll have to ask a comic buff like Brainatra, Barry Allen, or SimonMoon5.

"Guys in the van" and Deadshot should have a race. ;)
Anyway don't you guys know anything, Batman is the strongest, fastest, and can do anything. If you give him enough time. ;)
kidding....
Anyhoo for fasted I'd say Flash. I mean, we all know what a show boat he is maybe he was just........I dunno.......enjoying the chase when he was after those guys in the van or something.
Strongest? Superman. Yeah he was a little wimpy in S1 but he is still do doubt the strongest, if he wanted to be.

*Huff*...*puff*...erm, "kidding." Right. Thanks. :-)
Anyway, (I know this is about the actual comics) Doomsday's advantage is that one can't beat him the same way twice (he develops an immunity toward however he was defeated last time, apparently)... too bad for us (Doomsday is such a stupid character...but I digress...). Last I checked (unless something changed) Supes had him trapped dematerialized between four seperate JLA teleportation chambers...
Dunno about Imperix...from what little I glimpsed through OWaW, he seemed like the stereotypical "near-omnipotent alien invader guy" to me...

I was hoping to throw Barry Allen for a loop but you'll do. :p Just in case there are any doubts I was kidding.

If we're going with who has the best combined strength and speed, it's obviously Superman. I don't know how it could be anyone else. :)
Now, if we're not looking at people with superpowers, that'd be more interesting...

IIRC, Darkseid, Tempest, and Steel boomtubed Imperiex/War World/ Brainiac to the beginning of time.

The problem is Dc comics doesn't set known limits to there characters like Marvel comics does. If you read The Marvel Universe handbook you get a almost precise description of each character's strength level and if they're fast, you'll know they're top speed. If you read the Dc "Who's Who" handbook they give the origin but not much else. Nobody knows just how strong Superman is. Nobody knows just how strong Wonder Woman is. In fact on Justice League I see no difference between the strength of Wonder Woman and Superman or even Hawkgirl. They all seem capable of the doing same things strength wise (ripping metal apart or bending steel). I always thought this one aspect of the Marvel Universe that gave it an edge over DC. You know how strong Spiderman is and you know just how fast Quicksilver is.
As far as DC is concerned, you can try to answer the question but it's anybody's guess.

Well, if you want exact numbers, you can turn to the DC Heroes RPG (but *not* the DC Universe RPG). For example, the pre-Crisis Superman had a STR score of 50, meaning that he could lift without pushing himself (2^50) * 50 pounds. My calculator calculates that to be about 2.8 * 10^13 tons (that's 28,000,000,000,000 tons).
The modern day Superman has a STR of only 25, meaning that he can only lift without pushing himself 50 * (2^25) pounds, which is only 838,860.8 tons.
Marvel tends to just put people in the "Class 100" for strength, once you have people (like Thor) who can lift over 100 tons (but they never tell you just how much over 100 tons).
However, I do agree with the assertion that in the cartoon, everyone is equally strong and tough, which lessens Superman's contributions quite a bit. What good is invulnerability if every attack has the same effect on every character (they got knocked back and are out of the fight for a few seconds)?

as far as normal people go, Batman is OBVIOUSLY really strong and extremely fast, so I dont know whats w/ u guys makin fun o him...give him enough time and he WILL do NEthin, no joke! I believe he could take each and every one of the JLers...maybe not all @ the same time, but considering how observant he is, I would say theyre goin down against bats...
superman is obviously the strongest, w/ wondy and hawkgirl next
flash is obviously fastest, w/ superman and wondy close behind
smartest, hmm lemme think...BATMAN of course! followed by...?

Batman can be stronger than anyone. First he creates the 'anti-ring' to beat GL, and then he studies Flash and learns how to be faster then him. All he has to is watch Hawkgirl and he can fly, and then he can become stronger than Superman with enough time to prepare. And then he would seduce WonderWoman.

Yeah, the whole "studying and he'll become" that is kind of hard when he doesn't posess the superpowers that make the Justice League what they are. Batman could never reach Flash's top speeds just by watching them, he can't fly without wings (or a jet pack), and he can't physically beat Superman without Kryptonite.
What he can do is study their weaknesses, but comic readers know what happened as a result of that in JLA.

Yeah, but with his equipment, he could do any of that.
For example, with his wealth, he could buy a van. And since guys in a van are faster than the Flash, Batman in a van would definitely be faster than the Flash.
With the Batjet or Batcopter or Whirlybats, he can fly.
And he can have Kryptonite if he wants to.
If you don't let people use their equipment, I bet Green Lantern would lose every competition. :)
