What magazines do you guys subscribe to? I supscribe to Nintendo Power and LEGO Mania Magazine. I was subscribing to Star Wars Insider..but I haven't gotten around to renewing my subscription..

The thing that peeves me about magazine subscriptions (particularly the Nintendo Power) is when you go to a store and they have it before you do (where are those subscriber benefits THEN?).

So, I'm done talking..you're turn.. :D

My dad used to subscribe to TIME magazine, but it's become too expensive. Also used to get 3-2-1 Contact (kids' science magazine) and Brio (a magazine aimed at 13-18 year old Christian girls) but outgrew them both. So I guess I don't get anything now....

My pet peeve about TIME were all the subscription cards inside...asking you to subscribe to a magazine you're already subscribed to!! I mean sure, you could give a few cards to friends or something, but I don't know that many people who'd like that...

Right now my only subscription is PC World, which I'm not sure if I'll be renewing when the time comes.

I've got subsciptions, but have yet to recieve any issues yet, of Maxim & Stuff...hopefully I'll start seeing those soon, I think I'll be recieving next months issue...but then, I don't want to go out and buy this month's and have it show up in the mail the next day.

I used to subscribe to both Nintendo Power & Star Wars Insider. Nintendo Power, and most video games, don't really interest me since I can get all that stuff online for free - not to mention I never bought many N64 games. Star Wars Insider was whack, they stopped sending me issues even though I was pretty sure my subscription wasn't up...Anyways, so then like half a year after they stopped sending me magazines I get a letter saying "You're subscription is almost up! Renew now!". I wonder if my mail man was stealing them...

I might consider subscribing to the Official Playstation Magazine, mainly because they now have PS2 demos with every issue and it costs like $9 at the news stand.

--to things like The Lutheran Witness, Yahoo Internet Life, and the rag that the AARP puts out. My brothers get wrestling mags and the occassional hunting or trucking mag. I really don't bother with that sort of thing--I'm a read-'em-off-the-rack man.

My roommate from last year forgot to send in a change of address form, so I now get his subscription to Time. Heh heh heh.

That's it. I've never been much for subscriptions, but I did have a subscription to Fantastic Four for years.

All I get is Guitar World. I'm magazine deprived. :( It's a cool magazine though. Well, if you're guitar enthusiast I guess.

So is stuff pretty much the same as Maxim or not? It looks the same, but it's always shrink wrapped when I see it.

They're from the same people and are very similar, I'd have to say Maxim has more in depth content while Stuff is all some sort of humor. Stuff is so cheap to subscribe to right now, like $8, I said why not?

Off the shelf, I usually read Cinescape and Entertainment Weekly. They are great magazines to read on break at work.

I've also decided to subscribe to the British Dr Who magazine, and I am going to subscribe to Starlog.

Not trying to question anybody's choices for magazines, but I am often surprised that the TV Guide still sells as well as it does today. And that people get subscriptions to it! I can find TV listings on line for two weeks in advance at any given time, and with much more information on the TV shows they air.

Years ago I use to get Disney Adventures and Nickelodieon Magazine-but then they got too into being 'hip' and didn't focus enough on simple humor anymore...so I cancelled my subscriptions.

....I'm thinking of GETTING a TIME subscription, though. As for video game mags, well, I flipped through several and they really are a lot less interesting than they use to be...:( Mostly just concentrating too much on gorey games now...most 'non' gore games get one page, something with lotsa monsters to shoot up gets a whole guide within tha mag. Gimme something with plot and playability like Sonic! :D
...or at least something where making a zombie's head blows up is NOT the major point of the game...

SW Insider, upcoming subscription to Nintendo Power...

Aside from that? Used to get Amazing Spidey in the mail... Get Animedia each month (lotta HenryTaka and Ash/ChibiSam fanpix this month), CoroCoro Comics whenever I see an ad for a promo card during Pokemon (nice giant Celebi card this month! sweeeeeeet!).... Occassional Entertainment Weekly and Weekly World (full of bs, but hey- it gave me my first laugh after the WTC attack)

I only started because of the comic strip Hsu and Chan, but the articles of games became entertaining so I decided to keep it up.
