And I'm not even Swedish. But to the smorgasbord of tsouris. (Woes, according to some dictionary somewhere; hey, I put in more Swedish there) Y'all know of how Nick's been hacking us off with their treatment of A! Well, @ least the first two weeks they were showing them in strict order. Then, two weeks ago ("I believe it was on a Tuesday; not many people know that" --- Death), they started messing around with the order. ("You don't go messing around with the order!" --- some critter in Alligator Liberation) But see for y'allselves:
September 17th am: unknown; I forgot to put the tape in.
September 17th pm: #22 Guardin' the Garden / Plane Pals
September 18th am: unknown; I forgot to put the tape in.
September 18th pm: #33 Noah's Lark / The Big Kiss / Hiccup
September 19th am: #28 Moby Or Not Moby / Mesoozoic Mindy / The Good, the boo & the Ugly
September 19th pm: #32 Chairman of the Bored / Planets Song / AstroButtons
September 20th am: #39 Smitten With Kittens / Hamlet / White Gloves
September 20th pm: unknown; the tape ran out.
September 21st am: #40 Fair Game / The Slapper / Puppet Rulers
September 21st pm: #41 Broadcast Buisance / Raging Bird
September 24th am: unknown
September 24th pm: #52 Ups & Downs / Brave Little Trailer / Yes, Always
September 25th am: unknown
September 25th pm: #54 Brain Meets Brawn / Meet Minerva
September 26th am: #61 Baloney & Kids / SuperButtons / Driving Lesson
September 26th pm: #63 With Three You Get Eggroll / Mermaid Mindy / Call Waiting
September 27th am: #55 Gold Rush / Gift of Gold / Dot's Quiet Time
September 27th pm: #56 Schnitzelbank / Helpinki Formula / Les Boutons et le Ballon / Kung Boo
September 28th am: #64 Lookit the Little Fuzzy Heads / No Face Like Home
September 28th pm: #66 Take My Siblings, Please / Mindy 500 / Morning Malaise

See what I mean? Now, this isn't that bad; Nick never cared in what order they showed P&tB. And this past week they were actually not scrunching the end credits during Slime Time Live. But also last week they stopped the afternoon showings of P&tB; I think they're showing CatDog there now. The latest offense came this morning when I reviewed my tape of this morning's A! to find SpongeBob SquarePants there instead! Nothing against SBSP, but I'm used to A! there & I wanted to see A! there. So, what next? Who knows? Just wanted to vent a bit, & let you know someone's keeping an eye out. It'd be better if I remembered to put the tape in & not let it run out more often, but that's neither here nor there. Nice talking @ y'all; cy'all.

Tsouris? According to dictionary.com, there is no such word.

Could you possibly mean:

tsu·ris also tzu·ris (tsrs, tsūr-)
n. Informal
Trouble; aggravation.

[Yiddish tsores, pl. of tsure, from Hebrew rā, from rar, to become narrow. See rr in Semitic Roots.]

Re: Switched order

They weren't really in much of an order on Cartoon Network, either. Okay, maybe they were in a kind of order....but Nick also has a sort of pattern going on there.

Okay, so the pattern only holds on the 21st and 27th. Whatyagonnado? :D

BTW, what time does Nick show A! in the morning?

They've been showing them @ 7:30 6:30 Central. This morning, however, well, I already said what happened this morning. but I'll see what happens tomorrow. Btw thanks for clearing that up Danielle; simple misspelling. And CN did show the ones they had in order, I think, most of the time @ least. Oh well.

My first point:

We all know that the theme song is pretty much hacked. But does anyone else hear Dr. Scratchansniff laughing during "So just sit back and relax, you'll laugh beneath the max"? I'm surprised Nick didn't just cover that up or something. How do they explain it to the people who've never seen the original A! theme?

My second point:

I just saw (two minutes ago, in fact) the Presidents song. I....guess Nick didn't want to touch that one, even though we have a new president. I dunno if that's good (they're not ruining *everything*) or bad. (It's a new president, for gosh sakes!)

And there....is MY rant. You may distribute freely, as long as I get all the credit.

May I also add that this network, which insists that it rubber stamp its name all over the P&TB intro, as well as apply the Nick orange wash the start of A!'s abridged intro, has little or no fanfare of these two shows to speak of at its own website. A! is barely mentioned in the gooey slime time section.

Egad, you'd think if they wanted these shows so much that they'd provide a little background at their website. Hmmmm? Hmmm? Hmmm?

Sure, narf!...take the credit. But be careful not to exceed your credit limit.

Well, we just accept it as written during the time it was...much like TTA's "Washingtoon" episode seeming rather dated by now as well. I'd be more concerned about the schedule shuffling of A! on Nick myself...

Re: pre-empted shows: the local station here hasn't been running Bullwinkle reruns much lately; they keep showing infomercials sporadically in its spot (ever since it moved back half an hour to 6 AM)...hmph.

Yes, I have. And they don't explain it. Btw that's "you'll laugh 'till you collapse".

As to the rest of the rant, Imo Brainatra's covered it. But I myself have added to lists of presidents. Back in the '70's, former basketball star Jerry Lucas partnered with 1 or 2 others in developing the Ready Set Remember course, which gets children to remember states & capitals, the presidents & the times tables. My parents got it for me & it worked like a charm; because of it I had all of the above memorized by kindergarten; that is some good stuff! Altho it was dated (anyone else know of a movement in the '70's to move Alaska's capital to Willow?). Of course the list of presidents only ran from Washington (washing a ton) to Carter (garter). When new presidents came along I didn't let that stop me; I just added to it. The Ford automobile (Ford) wearing a garter (Carter) is by now holding a ray gun (Reagan) which it fires over a bush (G.H.W.Bush) @ a Klingon (anyone else got a soundalike for Clinton?) who's next to another bush (G.W.Bush). And so it will continue as long as I live & new presidents come.

Thanks for indirectly sparking the reminiscence. I just love these personal trips down memory lane.

Whoops. My error. That kind of verse is really hard for me to decipher (kinda like "Through the courtesy of Fred's two feet" in the Flinstone's theme)

Wow. That's really clever. (Klingon and Clinton.....yeah, it makes sense. And if Al Gore comes up for next term......uh.....there was a lot of blood and Gore, I guess...)

I like those, too. Especially the trip I just took trying to find my socks. :D
