Personally, I think this series is gonna suck. The previews and images do nothing for me, and it just sounds so derivitave and cliched filled. Any opinions on this upcoming Marvel series? It premieres this weekend in alot of major syndication markets.

I agree - it'll suck. Haven't seen anything about it that appeals to me.

To me, it just looks like a pretty teen show. Dawson's Creek meets the X-Men. I don't think it's going to be that great, but I'll try to catch it so I can make a final decison on it...

That is a plus for the show. Shea was excellent as Luthor in L&C. His involvement is really all I know about Mutant X.

I haven't paid any attention to it, but if it's better than that live-action Generation X thing they did a while back, it'll make me happy.

Then again, making it better than Gen X wouldn't take much, would it?

I dunno about this show, but the Marvel comic with the same name certainly sucked hard. It was cancelled, thankfully, a few months ago.

MUTANT X spun out of X-FACTOR and was cancelled under 3 years when Marvelr evamped the X-line.

The Mutant X comic was a good idea, done terribly wrong. Should never have been extended beyond the orignally intended 12 issues.

The Mutant X tv show has nothing to do with the forementioned comic, THANK GOD.

It blows. It blows hard. Thats about it, now lets anticipate Smallville, I think its gonna be pretty cool. No, I know it will. Just the concept and what we've heard so far.

Entertainment Weekly gave it a D-minus. That doesn't happen very often.

Mutant X was bad. I watched the pilot and could barely watch the whole thing. Laughably bad and strained fight scenes. Poor use of slow motion. Por introduction to characters. A laughably bad villian. A weak story. Bad special FX. Just overall not cool. I think Smallville will blow this show out of the water.

I watched an episode. I won't watch another.

I usually enjoy these type of comic book adaptions, but I gotta say, Mutant X was incredibly dissapointing. I couldn't watch the first episode without pointing out all the X-Men ripoffs.

I saw the pilot. I thought it was pretty crappy.

The show is horrible. Smallville runs cirlces upon cirlces upon cirlces around Mutant X. The show is just a tired cliche with laughably bad special effects and characters I dispise with all my being.

The show is nothing like the comics at all! Even the characters aren't the same. The Mutants were mutated differently, (by genetic engineering) plus, it was downright boring! I only watched the first three episodes, and I'm never watching it again! Not unless the X-Men guest star or something...what's the chances of that!? Impossible!

Oh, I forgot to say, the old Generation-X movie on Fox was better then this stupid show!

The only thing that was good about it was that in the first episode Cedric Smith made a guest appearence. For those who may not know, he played Xavier in the original animated X-Men series.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that!

I tried. I really did. This show is about 6 or 7 years too late if it's trying to be good or even "cool" for that matter. It's trying (and failing miserably) to be the Xmen and the Matrix. Most of us can go to our local video store and get almost any recent action flick and get a good serving of special effects, action, and plot. If this were a staple of my t.v. diet I'd be grossly malnourished...oh, and it'd taste like crap too.
