View Full Version : I know how to get old Pokémon (such as Zapdos and Charizard) onto Ruby/Sapphire!

I was looking at a few screen shots of Pokémon Collesium, and one of them that I noticed featured a Feraligatr in battle. I knew that Feraligatr was the fully evolved form of Totodile, one of the starting Pokémon in Gold/Silver/Sapphire. I remembered looking at the complete Pokédex from Ruby/Sapphire, and Feraligatr and all of the other starting Pokémon from the previous games were not on it. So I looked at some more screens, and I noticed Typhlosion, Meganium, and a few others from Red/Blue/Yellow/Gold/Silver/Crystal that weren't in Ruby/Sapphire. Which means that they had to have been loaded on from a Gold or Silver or Crystal gamepack. I didn't know how this was possible because the GBA/GCN connector covers the game slot. Then I saw a few pictures of a GBASP connected to the GCN, and the connector doesn't cover the game slot! So if you connect a GBASP with a Pokémon Red/Blue/Yellow/Gold/Silver/Crystal on it, you'll be able to upload Pokémon from those games! And if Collesium has the same feature that Stadium did (let's hope it does!), you'll be able to put Pokémon from one game pack onto the GCN game, then onto another game pack. This way, you can put Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Luiga, Mewtwo, Raikou, Squirtle, and all the other Pokémon that don't appear in Ruby/Sapphire onto those games. (takes a bow) Than you! (steps off stage to pat his Muk on the head)

This idea has been proposed before, however people say that it's impossible because the Pokemon data has been changed too much.

You may be able to unlock the older Pokemon in the new gamecube game, but I know for a fact that you cannot get them on Ruby and Sapphire.

or the Pokemon form olden days in Colloseum were jsut rentals. but I hope that's not the case. since lack of completeness kept me from getting Ruby/Sapphire (that and oly half a game compared to G/S)

Wasn't there something that kept you from putting pokemon on carts other than what you uploaded them from? Actually, i think that was just for items, but still...

That was just for items & I think they only did it to prevent you from getting certain items before you are supposed to (which might lead to glitches).
