Um, actually, we still have several episodes before the end of the season. And even then, when the new series begins we still have the Silver Convention/Johto League before we begin the Hoenn/Advanced part of the series. So...
Watching Joey make an idiot of himself vs. Duke right now....silly, but stupid...like most on "that card game show".

According to TV tome The last ep of pokemon master quest is "Lapras of luxury"
Advance adventure starts on the ep after this.
No, TVtome says it's "Here's Looking At You, Elekid". However that info is wrong too because the last episode is "The Parting with Pikachu" (unless they call the last episodes of the Johto League "Advance Adventure", which wouldn't make any sense).
Why did Brock say "When WE were in the Orange Islands"? He wasn't there.
Also, why was Ash surprised that that girl knew his name? Misty said it a few seconds before that.

OK, lets clear some things up before my post: "Lapras of Luxury" is not the end of this season. The last episode of the season should of been "Here's Looking at You, Elekid", but because of the banning of "The Ice Cave" either due to Jynx or SARS, they added the next episode to this season, ending it with "You're a Star, Larvitar". But after that, while it is the start of a new season, there are still a couple of "other episodes" before we get to the Silver Convention/Johto League, then a couple episodes after that, we start Hoenn. (and about time too)
As for today's episode, it was cute to see Lapras again after a long time, but unfortunately it was stuck in a pretty mediocre episode. Combined with a mass-produced plot and several dub errors (among them "Cold Beam" and Brock claiming he knew Lapras when he never did), what should of been a cute episode just didn't work in my opinion. But at least one plot point that will take us up to Johto League: Ash and the group finally got the egg of....well, it would be a spoiler...
...but I sort of spoiled it above anyway, so of course you knew it was Larvitar...well, those who looked
The only thing I gotta say about Pokemon today is, what the **** is cold beam?

Banned? Ice Cave episode? Huh?
Are ya SURE its banned and not just being played out of order like WB tends to do?
I looked to an episode list and this season started with ep 212 so add 52 to that and it's up to 264 which actually is You're A Star Larvitar!
Soooo I don't think its been banned and no extra eppies have been added onto the list. http://members.aol.com/kimminakochan/chicken.gif

Look at the last episode on that page.
Yea, it's banned. The same reason that "Holiday Hi-Jynx" is banned: Because of the racial issue.
It was nice seeing Lapras again, and Brock actually taking the inititave and battling instead of Ash. And we finally get to see a certain green rock lizard-like thingy.
BTW, since Ash starts out with just Pikachu in Hoenn, did he give his Larvitar to Oak along with Bayleef, Noctowl, Totodile, Phanpy, and Cyndaquil?
Whaddya wanna bet 4Kids will have the "Advanced Generation" dub opening (whatever it will be) for the Silver conference?

He doesn't give it to Oak because he no longer has it by then. Here's a link to tell you why http://serebii.net/anime/epiguide/johto/266.shtml

Actually, in the episode just before the "Opening Ceremonies" of the Silver Convention/Johto League, Larvitar is returned to its Tyrannitar mother. Thus, it never officially belonged to Ash (sort of like Haunter never did)
As for the next op., remember that the 3rd season began with the remains of Orange League, complete with the 2nd opening. It was only with the start of the Johto eps they changed the opening. Thus, I would guess the Johto League could have the "Master Quest" op., but because of a certain Pokemon being introduced in the Johto League, it could also be encorperated with the Hoenn/AG stuff.

The ice cave episode was banned according to Tv tome for Jynx almost kissing Brock in the mouth or somethin like that

Read the first link I posted on this topic, it talks about how people assume that & it gives a much more logical explanation.

Well, "Master Quest" was SUPPOSED to coincide with "Ready Go!," but started about 30 episodes before "Ready Go!" premiered in Japan, which is why I'm wondering. I believe the 5th Japanese opening aired right after Satoshi got his 7th badge, whereas the dub opening changed right before the Whirl Islands mini-quest.

I don't think "It's sorta like team rocket gave him SARS" is a logical explanation. The fact that people have complained about Jynx's design makes much more sense.

Yea, Nintendo won't even make Jynx figures anymore because of that damn article. (Oh, and no Mr. Popo figures either for the same reason. And don't expect him to show up in the live-action DBZ movies either.)

Remember that 4Kids goes by a different schedule as of late, especially since Johto started and went on and on....
For one thing, they think that by changing their name every season, it keeps them fresh even if it is the same arc of the series as we have seen through Johto. However, instead of following the Japanese schedule, they use the typical "52 ep. per American season". Thus, our first Johto season was "The Johto Journeys", which goes from the beginning of Johto to the end of the "3rd Season" (including the Orange Island ones) with "The Fortune Hunters". "Johto League Champions" did the next 52 eps from the Whitney battle ("A Goldenrod Opportunity") to the Chuck battle ("Machoke Machoke Man"). But the thing about "Master Quest" is that while it started here with the Whirl Islands arc and will for sure last the 52 aired episodes, there is still a tiny bit of Johto left next season before they head off to Hoenn. Thus 4Kids could do one of two things: the Japanese method, which would be calling the beginning of the next season "Master Quest" until they start Hoenn, or the American Method they have done the last several seasons, which would be to encorperate the end of Johto with the season including the beginning of Hoenn. Its 4Kids choice now....
