Ratchet and Clank BYOG weapon questions

Is really worth 150,000 bolts to purchase the BYOG weapon? And how much is the ammo? And does it have a "GOLD" version like the other weapons? I'm finally on the last level, but I haven't gotten far because: I keep getting killed as I'm trying to jump. (I'm trying to conserve ammo so I don't spend any of my 32,149 bolts.

That BFG gun is definetly worth the money for the final boss alone. Is he beatable without it.......sure. But after a few tries we (me and my wife) decided to get that gun. Getting that many bolts is a chore, but there are a few "tricks" to help you. check out gamefaqs.com and look for some of the bolt faqs. The trick with Giant Clank worked the best for us.

Well you don't need it in the game, but replaying it trying to get more skill Points made me realize that having it makes the game at least 40% easier, espically some of the later levels.

I don't know about the BYOG, but if you're talking about the RYNO, then get it, for the love of captain quark GET IT!

Yes, having just gone thru the game my self, I recommend the RYNO as well, it makes Supreme Executive Chariman Drek's Mech that much easier, only a few well placed hits and no scrambling to buy over-priced ammo from the online Gagetron store. I hooked up my little bro's for a few hours with the Giant Clank stage to rack up enoguh dough, that and Hoverboarding.

I finished the game yesterday and I have 23 out of the 40 gold bolts and about 6 skill points. I started a new game with 4 gold weapons. QUESTION: How do I activate the cheats? I printed the cheats off gamefaqs.com, but where am I supposed to do the Ratchet moves?

I'm having the same problems, especially with the big Head cheats.

I cna't get the Skill Point for the Hoverboard speedy race. I always get 1:38 instead of 1:35. i realise that I need to roughly shave a second off each lap, but what is recommend ed to do this? is there any particular trick I'm neglecting?

...when you are in the air or when you land: you will see those speed boosts(blue circles or the yellow arrows)

it don't matter anymore, a buddy came over and beat it for me.

I found 29 bolts and know where the rest are (kinda of) due to the map upgrade. It just takes too too too loooooooooooooooooonnnnnnnnggggggggggggggggg! I spent over an hour failing in trying to get my viso-bombs to break 4 or 5 red stones butI always run of ammo before I get the last one.
