View Full Version : A question...
What is The Wacky World Of Tex Avery? for all the time I've been reading this forum people have been saying that it is terrible, why is it terrible? does it mean Tex Avery as the great animation director or just a name alike?

It's a show that's named after the great animation director, Tex Avery, his daughter allowed the people at DIC to use his name. But she probably didn't actually see any of the finished program before it aired.
The show features different segments, one with a cowboy named Tex Avery, and several other segments of torture.
Truly an insult to one of the greatest men in animation.

Did that show actually feature any of the Tex Avery characters like Wolfie or Droopy?

A local Chilean network still shows this cartoon on ocassions and I don't think it featured any Avery characters at all. They just named a character after it.
The show was an insult to Tex, and everything he made. Don't watch it!

This show sucks, Leonard Maltin would have burned it.

I wonder why they would insult a cartoon animator director like that. Oh well, it's not like they have anymore episodes of it anymore, or it's in that many places to be seen now anyway.
