I'm really proud of this sketch I'm about to post, so, urm... yeah. I'm really proud and giddy and stuff.

'Tis two characters from my webcomic, Mode Ryuu. Samantha, on the right, is basically the main character, and Adrian (who Delia named, by the way), on the left, is a main baddie introduced in a certain story arc within Mode Ryuu. Yes, Adrian's hand is going straight through Sam. There's a very good reason for this actually, and while it is half past midnight while I write this, I will try to explain. Samantha has a multitude of different abilities she is able to use, such as teleportation, telepathy, telekinetic powers, and a bunch of other stuff. What she's doing here is sort of hard to explain (mainly 'cause I'm sleep deprived), but in an attempt, she can phase through objects (think Shadowcat from X-men, and Nancy from the anime R.O.D.). I should probably also mention, that while Samantha can do all that I listed above, and seems almost invincible when she fights, she really isn't. Sam has the downside of wanting to do things "the hard way" (i.e. with a gun and lots of projectile explosives while rushing headlong into the fray, and *wanting* to get shot at), and that she is quite insane (at least when certain events happen).

And I just made no sense at all. *sigh* Just realize that Sam can do wierd things when she fights and it'll all be good.

Oh, almost forgot. As for what I think of the picture... from what I said in that first little paragraph, obviously I'm quite happy with it. I love how Sam's face came out. I never draw her looking psychotic, manaical, or angry (even though she spends half her waking time one of those three ways).

You know, I'm really likeing this pic! It would be nice to see some color!

Oh, and you think going to bed at midniight is bad? How about waking up at 2 and then not being able to fall asleep again, it's annoying!

I especially like the expressions and the feel of movement/action - a great piece of artwork, you're right to be pleased with it and like Steve, I'd love to see it coloured in too :)

Ooh, I like it! It looks so....anime-ish. Makes me wann go see Inu-Yasha or something. Love the expressions. The shading's good, too.

So where's this webcomic of yours, anyway? You get people interested, dangling images and plots in front of their faces, with no link to the webcomic? How could you? :p

I agree, a great colouring job would really bring this already well-drawn pic to life. Well done! :)

Well, actually, the comic isn't up yet ^_^;;; The website it'll be at is set up here (http://moderyuu.topcities.com), and that's all I've got. Actually, I have the first page done, but that's nothing special. I'm trying to get up the incentive to do some more pages soon, but that incentive is almost nonexistant.

Like Steve Jester and Rune said, needs the color, plus I likie it how you got the drawing just about perfect when the other character was going right through her hands. :anime:

What can I say that hasnt been said already? hmmmmmmm....

It doesnt really need color... I think it will make it pop more, but not necessarily...

I like the rendering a lot, AF. On par with your skill already :)

I might try CG-ing it, but no guarantees. I've already gone and shaded it, and that for me, finishes the picture off. If I get some free time and feel up to it, I'll see what I can do color-wise.
