Thought I'd see how this show was going to be, and it was actually pretty good. More of a character introduction than anything else and there are some questions to be answered, but still, not too bad. Seems like this kind of show is popular among the networks now. This must be ABC's answer to "Dark Angel"...

Darn, I sorta wanted to check that show out since nothing new was on FOX last night, but I forget. Oh well...

I have yet to watch it, its sitting on my TiVo, but I've heard very good things. I hope it has better acting than Dark Angel...

It was good. I've never thought the acting in Dark Angel was bad. The first season was really good, I'm not 100% sure about this season. It seems a lot like the splicer stories from BB, with all the genetically engineered creatures now running around. We'll have to see how they carry it....

Alias was alright. It was kinda annoying how it didn't have any commercials and that's when i have time to get up and do stuff. So i had to miss bits and pieces. But overall it was okay.

I really liked last season's finale of Dark Angel. Especially the part when Zack shot himself in the head to save Max. I knew he was gonna do it, but it was still good stuff.
And when they had that fake happy ending, i was a little dissappointed. I mean, a happy ending? The bad guy hanging out w/ the heros while getting over his alcoholism? The transgenic soldiers being super buddy-buddy w/ Max's delivery friends? And this show is called Dark Angel?
But then after i saw the real end i felt bad and kinda wished they could all end up alright. But it was a great cliffhanger. I don't think they resolved it that well thought. But we'll see how this season goes.

Lydecker (sp?) and the "Eyes" guy are pretty good actors, Jessica Alba though is oftly stiff...and they give her some of the worst dialogue. Alec on the season premier was a little ick, too.
I didn't like the first couple episodes so I tuned out, but then a friend told me close to the end of the season that he liked it and I could see it had improved, its an okay show in my book...I think maybe there was a tad too much hype before it came out.
Watch about the first half of alias & I think this is going to be a hit, was surprised they did some of this stuff on broadcast...and CBS no less!

what is the viewing quality of a TiVo? does it look like something that was recorded on a VHS or is it just as clear you are watching the tv show "live?"

so the girl father is really working for CIA or is he working for the branch that broke off from the CIA, who are considered enemies of the US?

Well, her father is a double agent who pretends to work for the enemy of the U.S. while actually working for the CIA. That's what i got out of it anyway.

Well it depends, for a standard TiVo there are 4 recording levels. Picture quality is pretty much the same over all of them except that when you deal with lower qualities when there is a lot of fast action you'll get some pixelation, as you move up recording levels the smaller the pixelation and High & Best quality have practically none, though it takes up more space on the Hard Drive. My only complaint about TiVo is that is makes my rather poor cable signal look worse because it makes the dot crawl stand out more. Most would compare the quality to VHS or slightly above, its bearable but you can notice a difference between TiVo recorded programs and live broadcast. I should add, I own a Sony Wega which is known for making bad video look worse.
If you have satellite TV from DirecTV you can get a DirecTiVo which, rather than enocde the programs into MPEGs real time, simply downloads the signal since its already in digital form - this yields absolutely no picture loss and is the same, crisp picture as watching it live.
Hope thats not too much info...
