Endless Waltz ended any chance of a sequel for Wing. Since they are trying to please the older fans (UC fans) hopefully they will let Tomino direct the next series.

"Make" him direct would be more like it. Tomino has expressed that he doesn't want to do anymore Gundam (except Turn-A), so the quality will most likely suffer if he directs.
I hope they bring in someone new who has some fresh, good ideas (and who is enthusiastic about doing it).

I believe he said that if he reaches something like 80 or 90 he'll do another series.
Maybe this series will be titled Mobile Suit Gundam-So Very, Very Tired.

I never heard that, but it would surprise me that Tomino would say something like that. Oh well the fans will be salivating either way. We will get our hopes up high as Bandai releases information on it. Then when the show starts and its doesn't meet our expectations people will continue to moan.

Hey, so long as it has a number of well-fleshed out and good characters to go with all of the giant robot action, I'm happy. :p

I sure hope the "original theme" they plan on going back to is the war drama one... Because maybe then we'll FINALLY get a new universal century series.

Hm...you'll probably be dispointed again. Hope they change from the tired out MS gundam/seed classic Earth fighting agianst space. And for once make both sides about even. Sick of seeing one side get butchered all the time. Gets boring that way. Give the damn Earthers a chance for once

They are not the same thing
OAV = Original Artist's Versionm (a la Tenchi)
OVA = Original Video Animation (Direct to Video)

Yes, they do. I don't know where you got the "Original Artist's Version" thing from, but OVA and OAV are the same thing.

From ANN Lexicon
Original Animation Video & Original Video Animation (OAV / OVA) are interchangeable terms used in Japan to refer to animation that is released directly to the video market without first going through a theatrical release or television broadcast.
