Seeing as how villains in the JL were being discussed, I thought of my favorite feline. With a new Catwoman series coming out, an old (I use that term loosly) Catwoman series ending or over (I don't follow it very much), a new Catwoman film in the works and two animated versions to mark in the history books, which has been your favorite Catwoman incarnation? I am hoping for responses that deal mostly with the Animated Catwoman from B:TAS and TNBA, although I realize she's been around for quite a while! Personally, I loved Michelle Pfiffer's Catwoman, the costume was great, the personality interesting and complexe, as well as provocative, and she was a gorgeous blonde! Out of the two animated versions, I preferred her original character and look, although her black cat outfit was better animated, but those huge ears, white eyes, short, dark hair and skanky personality turned me off. Still, I am desperate to find out what storylines or character developpments were in the works for her once-planned animated spinoff TV series. The little I have seen and read (thanks to the great book Batman: Animated) has left me drooling for more! Does anybody know how I could find out what was once being planned? I also read once on a Catwoman fan site ("Clawmarks" I think) that a Catwoman direct-to video animated film was being planned before TNBA ended (If you can call abandonment an ending!) Please fill me in! Also, any thoughts to Ashley Judd playing the feline in an upcoming movie? Frankly, I'm sick of these dark haired Catwoman. Give me Pfiffer! I don't care if she's 43!!!

Houray!!!
This is the best news I heard all day:) You better not be joking when you say that Catwoman is going to have her own animated series...Youpi!!!!!. she is my favorite as you can see:p My favorite Catwoman has to be the B:TAS. I like Selina Kyle with blonde hair than short and black...although I like her black costume better than the B:TAS. I hate her new look though in TNBA. Her face is too pasty white and I agree with you on the ears.

PS: I hope they find a blond actress to play Catwoman if they make another film...I am sooo :D

Actually, he said new series, not new animated series. I believe he's referring to her new comic series incarnation.

Well, we already know that Ashley Judd is playing Catwoman in the flick, though we haven't heard anything about how she'll appear.

I've said it before--she was six solid feet of blonde hair, pretty face, cojones-shrivelling attitude, and legs for miles. That dame was one in a million. Ashley Judd may be a fair actress, but she's got some pretty big cat ears to fill if she wants to measure up to the Divine Miss N. http://cwm.ragesofsanity.com/otn/animals/catsmiley.gif

I prefer the BTAS version, the TNBA one was too anorexic and pale

i like btas better. but i don't like the incarnation of catwoman in kylewayne's avatar.....if you see the full picture, she looks REALLY FAKE (you all know what i'm talking about, i'm thinking surgery)! i don't know how she could those "catwoman moves" without hurting her back or somewhere else.

i think inque already looks really good. take some parts of catwoman and stick them on to inque and yes, she would look better, although a little bit fake, unless she's just using her inque abilities.... but there's a fan art pic of inque on another website that makes inque look REALLLY REALLY REALLY HOT!!!.

some of the people here know what i'm talking about. if ya really want to see the pic just email me or send me a message on aim.

I figure she (a) wears a custom-made brassiere and puts its hold to the test nightly or (b) she stuffs.http://cwm.ragesofsanity.com/kao/otn/blob_box.gif That could be her secret shame--her voluptuous figure's little more than socks and toilet paper (and Batman's too much of a gentleman to--ahem--research the matter closely). http://cwm.ragesofsanity.com/kao/otn/bloblaugh.gif
I recall some female guests on the Howard Stern show who had gone to the extreme with implants; one of them, a stripper called Jessy James (one for all the Pokemon fans) looked as if she were smiggling a pair of basketballs under her shirt. http://cwm.ragesofsanity.com/kao/otn/pcheerleader.gif She claimed she liked the bouncy feel of them while jogging, though the others insisted physical exertion was out of the question. Their enhancements were just done for the sake of their careers, and once they were out of the business they would have the implants removed. The funniest part was the sound effects; Fred Norris would play the sound of cows mooing every time the girls walked.

Visually her Michelle Pfeiffer-esque TAS design was better, though some of her early episodes felt shaky in terms of writing. She really shined in "Almost Got 'Em" (though her part was small), "Catwalk" and "Batgirl Returns". TNBA had a good grasp of how to write her but her character design was... less appealing.

TNBA felt like they took her too far in the whole generic villain direction, which is weird because she was actually usually on Batman's side in the 90's show. Though in general I don't there's been an animated adaptation that has ever really captured the gray center of the character.

She's someone who doesn't give a crap about the rules and will indeed hurt innocent people to complete her heist but she'd never actually kill anyone, nor should she be THAT close with Batman.

In terms of character design, I'd say my favotire was actually the incarnation from The Batman. I thought the design of the costume was great, and having the whip hang off like a tail was a nice touch. But in terms of personality, i preferred the catwoman from Batman tas. She had a much better chemistry with batman/bruce

[edit] just noticed how old this thread was =/

I really can't decide (they all seem the same to me =P), so I guess I'll ultimately go with the Arkham City incarnation.
