Is Technicolor still used today? If it isn't, what process is most commonly used today?

As far as I know, Technicolor is still around, although there are other color processes out there such as Metrocolor, Deluxe & Eastmancolor. Watch the end credits of your favorite movies. They will usually say what color process has been used.

Techincolor has a big plant just east of Thousand Oaks Calif. so, yes, they are very much in business, though the gap between their color processs and other companies' color systems is not the huge chasom it was 50 years ago when the three-stip system was in its full glory.

Some studios are trying to bring back dye-transfer Technicolor.

www.film-tech.com has a side-by-side comparison of an Eastman print and a Tech print.

Let me just say there's a reason why Technicolor was so hyped up back in the old days of cinema.
