I missed the show again. I have only remembered twice. I saw the premiere and only saw the other one 2 weeks ago. I have to set the timer for it. Both times, Three time New York Times Best Seller, Skip Bayless was a part of the panel and he always brings his A-game on the TV show as well as Jim's radio show.

Although it shows only once a week, it is light years ahead of his previous show, The Last Word but his radio show remains the best of any TV incarnation. I have noticed that a lot of Jim's takes are transferred to the TV show, but I don't have problem with it.

As for the 2003 Smack Off, I was rooting Jeeeefffffff in Richmond but his call just took took long to get to his takes. The guy who likes to mention amputees, Greg in Vegas, went way overboard for saying that Tom Watson could have won the tournament if his caddie didn't suffer a one stroke penalty. That was just wrong.

First time participants were Otis in Austin, Joe in Orange County, and Willie in KC came up huge. I believe that Joe was the strongest of the three and Willie being second, but I think Willie's call was the funniest. I like his singing and of course, his inflection when he says St. Louis. I had a hard time understand Otis, and Sean the Caplinasian, the winner, calling Otis Sling Blade was funny. I have heard 3 Smack Off's starting with 2000 and this years was definately the best. Too bad for Terrence though, the best caller to never win the Smack Off.

OUT.

JR blasted our beloved superheros this week. :( I like him, but I think he's taking things a little seriously when he rips a new one on Spidey and the Hulkster.

BTW... anyone remember Rome's first gig on ESPN. He got an earful for calling one Jim Everett "Chris" in reference to the tennis player Chris. I'm surprised he's even showing his face on ESPN after that fiasco.
