HAPPY 3RD ANNIVERSARY, WORLD'S FINEST DISCUSSION CENTER!

That's right! Today marks the 3rd anniversary of these message boards (Justice League, Batman beyond, Animation & General Topics)! In September of 1998, the first of the WF Boards would be put up: Superman: The Animated Message Board. That board would soon evolve into what is now the AniGen Board. Less then a week after that board was put up, the Batman and Batman Beyond boards soon followed. Since these three boards have been put up, they have evolved and changed more than Batman's costume! The boards had three different homes, and the name changes were almost constant. I plan to put up a board history eventually here at the site.

These boards have a long, long history. These boards have been able to overcome attempted floods and smut and have grown stronger. They have survived basically evenry problem a board could have and managed to come out on top. Heck - these boards survived a temporary shut down and all the regular posters at that timer came back! Dedication like that is a rarity this day and age. These boards continue to grow stronger with each passing day as new posters come in at almost a steady stream. I'm sure all the veteran posters here can remember all the high and low times these boards have been put through.

So, I'd just like to wish this place a great 3rd anniversary, and I know the 4th year here will be just as great as the three before.

Also, another small announcement - with the addition of Maxie Zeus and Mad Hatter to the Mod crew, Nightwing is now considered a veteran mod like RobinIII and myself.

Congratulations! 3 years huh? I guess that's like 30 years in internet time. That's really great! I also hope that WF lasts to celebrate many more b-days. Congrats everybody!

This place has definatly been through alot, and I'll touch upon it when I get the board history page done up. This site came under attack alot by smut posters. Still it has prevailed so great people like you and the rest of the posters could find it. :)

Oh yeah? Well I've only been here about a month and a half! Ha-ha! :D But whether you've been here for one day or one year, I think it's pretty easy to see this a truly unique board - one that I hope will continue to thrive for a very, very long time.

Well I'm an oldster. I've been here since the very beginning. So I guess I'm a veteran of sort. ;)

Well it's really late yet I've apparently gona insommniac mode again. bleh. :( So I guess I'll delve into the old memory.

Warning! Long Post without a point!

I remember the old, official KidsWB boards they had for BSTAS. It was pretty cool. It was a little before WF I think, WF showed up later an kinda competited/coexisted with them I guess. My memory's hazy, but I think DG posted their relatively often. I remember a Tim Two Face, who's still in charge of the biweekly BSTAS newsletter with DG. I wonder how many of the kwb posters continued onto WF, probably a lot. Then the kwb board kept getting filled with jerks (speaking of which, anybody remember the starchild incident? I forget what it was about, but everyone was in an uproar) and eventually I think it got closed down.

So then I stumbled onto WF at some point, it was probably hidden in my bookmarks or something, and occasionally began visiting WF, usually lurking and reading, not posting often. I think at first WF didnt require registering so I wound up posting with different names, since I kept forgetting them. Eventually I settled on Failure. I don't think I started posting much until maybe about the 2nd season of BB, where I'd comment on episodes once in a while and so on. So I'd post for a while and disappear for a while. I remember last winter, near christmas or new years, someone went a little wonky and "post-bombed" the message boards. However the board came back strong. And I think I posted fairly regularly til the new boards came out. The new boards as you can see are very nice, I cant imagine going back to the old boards style. It was cool in its uniqueness I suppose, but not nearly as good. Then summer started and my computer died, so little internet at home, and no WF.

I think I finally started posting regularly and actually checking the boards regularly barely a month ago. I guess it was actually the tragic events of 9/11 that deserve the credit. I dunno, if you're looking for a silver lining, it's a tiny one, but... y'know.

So it's kind of weird, the past 20 days or so, it feels like it's been a long time, but the past 4 or 5 years of boards existence (going back to the kwb boards) it feels like it's been really quick.

I hope to stick around regularly, and I hope to see the board continue to grow. It should be cool to see. I'm really going to enjoy seeing the board history, it should be really something.

Well, thanks for reading. This is what what not being able to sleep when u should be does to u, long posts with no point! For god sakes, I'm going under!

Anyway, I've only been here for a little more than a year (Hey, I rhyme!), but I haven't really gotten into posting until recently. That, and once before, in a spirited argument with Jojo about Cybersix way long ago.

Bringing up past history like this is kinda like rubbing a sore spot. Maybe that's just the mod in me talking, but I kinda like to see things like this passed over in silence. ;) (It wasn't me, though!)

I'm sorry if it's sore spot Maxie, I was just using it as an example for the board's perseverence. No intention to bring up rancid memories.

In addition, I would like to apologize if I caused any embarassment or awkwardness for anyone regarding the past incident. I, in no way, meant for it to be that way.

If you're wondering what I'm talking about, don't worry about it, it's no big deal. Ancient history. ;)

I've been here for 2½ years and I still love it.
My favorite will still be the time where WF wasn't so big as it is today - and back then we didn't have all these fancy gadgets that the youngsters have today like avas, big profile boxes and such...and back then it was uphill both to and from school!! :D

Uh-oh Failure! I'm afraid to say it, but the moderator who went wonky and post bombed the WF last Christmas Eve was me......However, I realize what I did was wrong. I was under alot of stress at the time, but that's hardly an excuss. I've discussed this with DG and I've hoped to let things settle over time. This explains my 8 month absence. In fact I wasn't ever gonna return to WF, until DG said it was cool with him. Though, let me once again apologize for what I did last Christmas. It was wrong, and actually a member of my family called me on it. Yes, I'm still having a few psychological problems here and there, but I'm trying to get help. Anyways, I just wanted to clear things up a bit. And say I'm sorry once again.

I remember when this board barely had anything except a message box and a place to put your handle. Man - how things change! And bad things that happen in the past are sometimes best forgotten. Forgive and forget. This board has evolved into something way bigger and just better.
