Does anyone know of any good PC RPGs, other than the Baldur's Gate series, Planescape Torment, Icewind Dale and the Fallout series?

If you consider Action Adventure games as RPGs. I could recommend you to buy Prince of Persia 3D, its slow paced but fun.

Well since you seem to like the Black Isle RPG's (FO, BG, IwD, PT) if you can wait until August their newest RPG "Lionheart: Legacy of the Crusader," will be out by then.

In the meantime, if you haven't played it already, I'd recommend picking up Arcanum. It's similar to the BI games in terms of gameplay, and it has a decent story. It's been out for a while so you should be able to find a copy at a decent price. Also Troika's (the creators of Arcanum) next game, "Temple of Elemental Evil: A Classic Greyhawk Adventure," will also be coming out in August. It's another game I'm looking forward to.

Might and Magic. I've never actually played one of the games myself, but the series does seem to get quite a bit of praise.

Well, it's a PS1 port so maybe it doesn't really count, but Final Fantasy 7 was released for the PC.

It's a damn shame companies don't translate some of those Taiwanese PC RPGs. Some of them are pretty good.

You might want to try out the shareware Castle of the Winds, the first part of which you can download for free in various places on the Net. It's the perfect game for the fast computers they have out now, since resting can take ten minutes or more. You can download both parts at

It's an older game, but you can easily spend weeks of enjoyment playing it. It's not the kind of game you can beat in a few hours.
