Got your drool buckets ready? Here 'ya go; have fun!! (http://www.maxpayneheadquarters.com)
I must say, right now I'm not much of a fan of Max's new model but I'm sure it'll grow on me. Other than, they're all excellent.

I must be one of the few people in love with the new look. Now Max Payne actually looks the way he sounds; a grizzled, eternally down on his luck man who lost his entire world to tragedy. The original character model looked like a geek (which I believe he was. I think he was one of the developers on the game), while this guy just looks.... perfect.
I won't even bother getting into how fantastic it looks. The screens say that enough already.
Good show Remedy. Can't wait.
EDIT: Looks like all of the original Max Payne actors were done by not only the Remedy dev team, but their friends.
"The original game used Remedy developers, family and friends for faces. A lot of the reviews for the game pointed this out even, as it was rather obvious in some cases that pro actors were not being used.
So, this time around, professional actors are being used all around, and they're all being hired from the New York City area (makes sense, right, with the game being set there). Yes, we all like Sam Lake better as Max, but he's also the game's primary script writer (and the script is HUGE!), and he doesn't have time to fly to New York to take part in the photo sessions.
The game will be better, in part, because Remedy's developers are not being distracted by photo shoots, and they can focus on their real jobs: making the game."

Yeah, I like the new look. His look and age really make him look like a family-man cop, and the great grizzled expression really makes you know he lost that family. In particular the second and sixth picture in the right column.
I'd just like to know what the game mechanics are like.

Does the game take place a while after the first? If so, I can understand why he looks different. If it's just a few years-well, that's pretty ridiculous. He barely looks like the old model.

I think MaxPayneHQ also had some of the plot down a little further. Something about taking place one year later, Max getting framed again and actually confessing or something like it. A little strange if you ask me.

Read the bit under EDIT in my earlier post of this thread, answers your questions.
As for the movie, I have no idea. Hope it doesn't turn out to be as terrible as history says it will be.

Well, if it helps, Eric Mabius has been suggested that he play Max, which I think would actually work.

Well that wouldn't realy make sense unless Alfred Woden betrayed Max because Alfred could get max out of troble. It could also be a completely diffrent story line, however the new look on Max is very cool and looks more realistic.

Count me in as one of the ones who is not terribly fond of Max's new look (I happen to have liked his old look), but I'm not going to have a fit over it or anything. As long as the game retains the same (or better) writing, plot, and gameplay as the first, then I'm still trembling in anticipation.
Oh, and they may be changing actors, but they had better not change Max's VA. That would make me cry.

Nope, same exact voice actor. Only thing about Max thats changed is his look.

From what i read about the story one year later Max is back in uniform when the question of Alex's murder comes back up. Not wanting to endure anymore pain Max confesses.

Seems rather ironic, doesn't it?
