Well, this was a big weekend at the box office. Sure - the grosses aren't really, really high - but this was a weekend that analysts were saying would be an important weekend. This would be the first real weekend that people would return to the movies. And it looks like alot of people went. Here's the stats:

1. Don't Say A Word - $18,000,000 million ($18 mill)
2. Zoolander - $15,700,000 million ($15.7 mill)
3. Hearts In Atlantis - $9,525,000 million ($9.5 mill)
4. Hardball - $5,200,000 million ($26.3 mill)
5. The Others - $5,100,000 million ($87 mill)
6. Rush Hour 2 - $2,675,000 million ($219. 4 mill)
7. The Glass House - $2,100,000 million ($15 mill)
8. Rat Race - $1,755,000 million ($54.1 mill)
9. The Muskateer - $1,700,000 million ($25.5 mill)
10. Two Can Play At That Game - $1,600,000 ($20.6 mill)

Man, The Others is still holding on - and gaining! This is the 2nd week where it say gains in audiences! Overall, a good weekend for the box office.

you have the cheesiest titles for threads DG..I absolutely love them..lol.

I didn't think Zoolander would do too well. The previews were looking good, until he hit the house "For Kids who Couldn't Read" and said "How can they learn how to read, if they can't even fit in the house?"...THAT just fudged it up for me..

I have no real desire to see Zoolander, and those I know who have seen it said it stank.

Zoolander had some inspired moments and some enjoyable preformances (Stiller, Wilson and Jovavich) but overall it's a bit flat and relies on the celeb cameos to get it through the rough patches. Not bad, but not very good either.

Actually, GLITTER has made just a wee bit over 3 million in 2 weeks of release. Not good.

Zoolander was okay, the best jokes were pretty much given away in the commercials though...and the trailer was edited to make some scenes better than they were. Overall it was good. I'm considering buying the DVD if they include all those funny commercials they did for it on MTV, Like Cribs and stuff.

The Heinekin commercial for Zoolander is hilarious. It is Paramount putting togethor the DVD so it's hard to say what the quality will be - but the commercials and magazine advertizements have been hilarious!

Ha Ha Ha. I thought that line was great. My friend and I are going to take break dancing lessons. So then we can fight.

I thought the movie was good. Not great but good. There were some hilarious scenes, for sure. A nice change of pace from recent events.

Ebert is taking things way too seriously, its a comedy. And to answer his question, I probably would find a movie about some idiots trying to kill Abe Lincoln pretty funny. Its not like the Prime Minister is actually killed, the hero saves the day and it has a happy ending.
