I have. Today I met WWE's favorite superhero, THE HURRICANE. I had him give me a autograph on one of the WWE autograph mats, and had him autograph the new Hurricane Flex'Em (With Hurricane t-shirt). I also had him pose with an issue of ToyFare magazine. I loved the fact that he knew about ToyFare. I plan on sending the Hurricane ToyFare photo to ToyFare. Then maybe they'll show it in an upcoming issue! What was kind of messed up was that he did'nt wear a mask. :^\ But, all in all, it was 100% worth it. Hurricane is now one of my favorite wrestlers.

My brother claims to have scared Jim Cornette off outside of a Carl's Jr. in Barstow, CA, trying to ask him questions. My brother was kind of freaky guy then, and I don't blame him for running. :)

Awhile ago(back in the New Generation era I think it was), the at the time WWF had it's little house show here in Philly. The they usually allowed the kids to walk down the aisle with the wrestlers and to the ring. They let me do that for some wrestler who I don't even think wrestle anymore. It's funny because at the end of the match, the wrestler was suppose to call me in the ring for something, and apparently, he called me in the ring. Did I go in the ring? No! The crowd was so loud that day that I didn't even notice the guy, and I was just happy to be so close to the ring that day. :D I think the wrestler's name was the dumpster or something.....I know he had to do with trash. I also met Billy Gunn that day and saw the Undertaker backstage. Two years ago I met Jonathan Coachman, does he count? :p

Dork Knight, I envy you. I'd give my right arm to meet The Hurricane. He's my favorite wrestler as well.

Anyway, I know close to no one is going to beleive this, but it's true. While I didn't neccesarilly "meet" The Rock, I did have a close encounter with him.

I was in Washington D.C. for 2000's "Backlash" PPV. We (meaning my father and I) got there early, so we decided to walk around for a bit. About 2-3 hours before the show, we started walking back. Get to a crosswalk, get the little green hand, and start walking.

Next thing I know, this nice white car (not super fancy, but still kinda nice) cuts the light and almost hits us. The window's down, you can see clearly in it, and it's The Rock, looking right at us as he continues to drive on by. Not speeding, just cutting the light, so I got a decent look at him.

So, yeah. I was almost hit by The Rock's (probably rental) car.

I met Mick Foley at the World of Wheels. BIG line. My brother had him sign his copy of Mick's first book, while I had him sign a Mick Foley poster I had.

A friend of mine saw Nicholae Volkoff at a Wal-Mart. He went up to him and said hi. That is probably the most bizarre thing I've heard happen.

Oh yes, and my brother slapped Undertaker on the back during a live event. Does that count? :D

I've met both Shane "The Franchise" Douglas and Dominic DeNucci. DeNucci lived in Freedom (three minutes away from my house, also the high school I graduated from) and Douglas lived in Beaver (ten minutes away). I think nearly everyone in Beaver County has run into both of them at one point or another.

My little sister and I got to meet (briefly) Chris Jericho at a house show. It was in Lubbock, Texas on Saturday June 12 of last year and Jericho was the champ. His opponent was Triple H who was just coming back from his surgery (I think he came back the Monday after the house show). Anyways we were in the parking lot after the show, kinda hoping to see somebody. They all kinda wave and get in their cars, but none of them stopped and signed stuff. When Jericho was about to get in his car, my sister started just yelling and trying to get his attention. He kinda laughed and was acting all like the heel he was then. Then she started yelling "Fozzy Rules!". He came over, chewing gum and acting all mad, and said "Give me your ticket stub". She pulled it out of her pocket, and he told her to turn around, and he put the ticket against her back and signed it. He said "There you go, you little Assclown!" and got in his car and left. She has it framed in her room.

This is a good question, I've met a few wrestlers in my lifetime...

I met Lex Luger when he was on the "Lex Express" bus tour in the summer of 1993.

When WCW did their "Road Wild" PPV in Sturgis, SD I got to meet Diamond Dalls Page, Steve "Mongo" McMichael and The Big Boss Man (known then as Big Bubba Rogers). Rick Steiner and Mr. Wonderful were there too, but I didn't get to meet them because it was basically a supper stop for the bikers/wrestlers so after a certain point they couldn't really be bothered.

I got the chance to meet Debra at the Mall of America when SummerSlam was in Minnesota in I believe '99.

I also met Mean Gene Okerlund when he was at a Mean Gene's Burgers opening (I don't know who all has those, but he's related to some folks around here and they changed all their A&Ws to Mean Gene's).

I'd love to meet The Hurricane too, but this is all I've met, for now.

The person you met was Duke "The Dumpster" Drosse.

Now known as Droz from WWE.com and as formerly known for the disasterous Puke angle back at the start of the Attitude Era.

Now known as Droz from WWE.com and as formerly known for the disasterous Puke angle back at the start of the Attitude Era.Actually Darren Drozdov and Duke Droese are two entirely different people. Droz was paralyzed in an in-ring accident with D'Lo Brown some years ago and The Dumpster (even though he hadn't wrestled in the WWF in years) was one of the participants in WrestleMania X-Seven's "Gimmick Battle Royal."

-I met Billy Gunn and the Roaddogg a couple years back when they were at one of the local malls signing autographs. They are huge.

-Me and my former mentor met Chyna a couple years back.

-My mother met Dallas Page at her job. It was when Capitol One introduced the Wcw Visa cards a couple of years back.

-A buddy of mine and his some of his frat brothers were working as a beer vendor at one of the last WcW Nitros they had here in Richmond. They got to meet Hulk Hogan and tried to invite him out with them to get a beer. He also let Shane Douglas use his cell phone to call his wife.

-I met Torrie Wilson a couple of months ago. She is so frickin' hot.

It's funny because that kind of reminds of when my boss, his brother in law, my former mentor, his son, and I went to the last WcW Nitro taping in Richmond on my 22nd birthday. We had 4th row seats on the floor across from were they were taping. I made a sign that said "Hey Goldberg, Spear This!" Everyone around me thought I was crazy. But hey I'm not too crazy about the guy cause of what he did to Bret Hart a couple of years back. He was in the ring and saw it. I think he got a kick out of it, but I also think he wanted come over and rip my head off. It looked like he was saying some pretty foul things to me.

Back in 1999, I was working in a computer store in Marietta Ga, and Diamond Dallas Page came in to look at a macintosh system. I was working in the tech room and one of my friends who was a RABID wrestling fan came in yelling that page was in.

We both went over to the Mac dept. I just shook his hand and said hello, but my friend was fawning all over him, I almost had to drag him back to work.

This is a pretty cool topic, and I've actually had the honor of meeting several wrestlers. I met Roddy Piper at a book signing in Columbus, and he was a very cool guy. In fact we made it on his webpage after he did our book signing. I met Chris Candido, Sunny, and Road Dog. All were really nice as well. I also got the chance to meet Al Snow, Chris Beniot, The Hardys, Torrie Wilson and the FBI. All of them were incredibly cool. On my way to Wrestlemania I was on the same flight that Rico was on, and got to talk to him for around forty minutes on our flight. I even got my picture taken with him, and I can't say enough good things about him as he was a class act all the way. That same trip I also saw Moolah and Mae Young in the airport though I never got the chance to talk to them. I also met Shark Boy, Tommy Dreamer, CM Punk and others as well.

I could driven to mid-Massachusetts to meet Hulk Hogan at a gym once. I regret forgetting about it. I basically wanted to ask him what it was like working with Christopher Lloyd in Suburban Commando.

Man, you guys have had some pretty cool encounters! I haven't. The closest I came (not sure why I didn't go...) was when Owen Hart and Kurrgan were at a local Blockbuster. That would've been so cool! I mean, I've never seen a guy as big as Kurrgan (who has a cottage in the same town as my grandmother) and Owen Hart, well...it was Owen Hart! :p I kicked myself for having missed that.

On an unrelated side note, we have a picture of a wrestler in an old (early 70's) photo album whom my mother calls "The Beast," but it looks like Mad Dog Vachon to me. I should look up some pictures to compare.

I met Rob Van Dam when Smackdown came to my city in 2001, and Jeff Hardy at a house show in 2002. Oh, and I met Lex Luger outside of Wal-Mart back in 1999. :p

Living in Tampa has made it easy to bump into a lot of wrestlers.

Saw Taker out bowling one night here. Hogan has been at a hockey game I was at and hits the medieval fairs.

Best one ever though was many years ago after WWF did the Royal Rumble in Tampa. I was at the Monday Night Raw down in Palmetto the next night. This was back when they did one live show and tapes the next. Well after about 4 hours I was getting itchy we started to wander around outside. Chatted with Henry Godwin for a while about his messed up shoulder. Worked on a few autographs (brother love, shawn michaels, Godwin, Ted Debiasi) then got invited backstage by Aldo Montoya's girlfriend/wife because it was so nasty cold. Well that was freaking cool for about 15 minutes... until we got busted by Percy and kicked out. Still ultimatly cool and it would never happen now because this was back when WWF had troubles selling out 8k capacity rings.

You know that guy who played sabretooth?

There's a very slim chance i might have seen him wrestle locally before he was hired for xmen in a local wrestling league called iwf.. plays on the border... i guess he's taylor mayne or something...

i really would have been glad to have met him face to face if i'd known... i just watched him wrestle...

i wonder if he's back at wrestling.

i've also been to a small handful of lucha libre events locally in the mid 90's at a flea market now long a vacant lot where carnys occasionally set down.... almost got involved but now i know better.

And i've even met someone who was a newscaster who helps run my hometown now in south texas.. does that count?

wierd. Hm.
