a rough, office pencil/technical pencil concept sketch that i finished earlier..this is 'ember' -a new female 'crow' (from the comic/movie franchise) design that i've been tinkering with for a long while.

Oooo, that's cute, I love it. The shading is very soft, the curves are very soft as well - I love how you use those pencils of yours. Good job, man!

Your penciling is fantastic in a technical sense as well as your anatomy. However, I think it can use more energy and life to her (and some of your other figures, now that I have seen enough of your work).
You have the beginnings of a distinct, delicate style so the best thing I can suggest is study up on a few fine artists and illustrators drawings. Try looking at Degas and a few other Impressionists (despite their painting movement, they were some of the best draftsman and a lot of comic book artists do study fine artists), Yoshitaka Amano (and his influences), and Japanese silk screen art.
Hope this helps. :)

thanks as always for the great feedback tim & outlander. for this rough i wasn't really going after a good gesture drawing yet. just kind of getting her look down. having a bit of a short attention span syndrome i really don't commit to studying/influence from one particular artist's style.. ;) really bounce around alot..but i believe that you can still probably get some good results from multiples inspirations. i'll try to get some more of my newer action poses up on the workshop board for you to check out soon. thanx.

She's great! I especially like the highlights on her shoulder, as well as her hair.
Your shading's good, too.
Great Job. :)
