Ollie?

Anyone know the story behind this little guy who works for Shriek. Normally, i'd think he was just some henchman, but he looks really weird. Any theories?

All we really know is that he's a splicer, and that he keeps on going back to work for Shriek. Why? Who knows. My guess is that he feels some sort of loyalty towards Shriek.

I guess that with the right writter a good back story on Ollie(sp?) could turn into a good Shriek story.

Hehe..first I thought this was gonna be an "Do you know how to do an ollie"...so I peeked, cuz I can...:D
But then again it would be wierd to ask a newbie/wannabe skater question on a Batman Beyond board...

As for this Ollie guy - I never knew that it was his name... - well he kinda looks pretty spliced to me...kinda like a vampire. In the first ep with spellbinder he didn't look that wierd, he just got that tuner thingy which-I-don't-know-the-english-word-for as a reward from Shriek. It's been a while since I saw the eps and I can't really remember.

i think ollie is similar to aaron from disappearing inque. except there are some differences, and i don't want to list them now.......maybe in another post? nah. you can figure them out yourself.

My first impression of Olly was that he was a crackhead--skinny, twitchy, poor personal hygiene. In "Babel", when he plays with the tuning fork by rubbing it over his scalp, the captioning reads "estatic moaning". I'm sitting there thinking, Holy sh**...http://cwm.ragesofsanity.com/otn/shocked/redface.gif ...is he getting off with that thing?
Beyond gets pretty adult in its themes--patricide, matricide, infidelity, betrayal, murder...and now this Olly guy and his highly suggestive addiction to sound waves. Good gravy, you guys go a mile a minute! Anyways, you should be able to delete or edit your own posts, so you'd be able to fix any mistakes or coding. Lord knows I make sure to double check my coding cuz I learned to walk using HTML. But this site doesn't use it, so I'm bound to mess up. lol.

Senor Obsession hit it on the head. What we need is the right writter and have his mind set in back story mode. Ollie could have a nice tragic, brainwashed back story to how Shriek snagged him in to work for his obsessed butt. :)

ollie was with shriek in babel. i don't see why he would be with him again in where's terry. if he was there just for the tuning fork, he should have just taken it and run. it didn't look like shriek was giving him anything. and why would shriek let ollie stay with him? i guess its just one of those things that will never get explained.

anyways.....i did see ollie in the episode. i have the episode downloaded on my comp but it won't let me take screenshots while i'm watching it in windows media player. if i can get it to work, i'll post a screen shot. it kinda does look like ollie, but it kinda doesn't. you could argue it both ways.

One, Olly doesn't strike me as the type who has enough brains to double-cross Shriek, take the fork, and run. Two, Shriek keeps him around, because, let's face it, most boot-licking goons want to be paid in cash. Few self-respecting henchman would be content to just sit around autoerotiscising and looking half-stoned most of the time. Then again, maybe it's simply familial loyalty ("If you weren't my sister's kid, I'd have burst you like a rotten breadfruit with my sound wave gun a long time ago, Olly.")

Boy that sure goes back to the lack of development we got in BB. I mean, what kind of deal does Ollie have with Shriek? I personally think that there is one, and he isn't in it just for whatever devices Shriek can provide. I'm sure that might be a slight part of it though, but I'm also sure that some good writters can come up with something a bit more, which is why I agree with the good doctor.
