(M'onel) John Corben killed Thomas and Martha Wayne?!
Okay, the new Superman/Batman series is sure to rock this fall, but after reading the latest issues of Previews and Wizard, my attention factor to this book just skyrocketed.

Mentallo is the first villain to appear in the series, but it seems he may have some ties to the death of Bruce's parents. The preview in Wizard gives hints that, if he didn't actually pull the trigger himself on the Waynes, Corben was at least in Gotham City on that night and thus may have some sort of connection to that ill-fated robbery attempt. Plus, the review in Previews state that the first story arc will shed light on the true killer of Thomas and Martha Wayne.

With Loeb at the helm, there'll be no telling for absolutely sure but these little hints of implication suggest to me how powerful and rocking this series will be.

Have anybody heard about this?

Edit: Spoiler in subject thread removed.

I read this at a superman forum.

The Waynes were killed by a man with a Lupin cut? No way.

I doubt it will be that simple. Corben may be involved, but people involved with Batman have argued that him not knowing who exactly killed his parents is more poetic. Crime took his parents, not simply one mugger.
