:( I always liked his art. It was really cool. I hope we don't see more classic animation legends pass away in the near future.

That's awful, I know I always sort of bashed him a little on this board, but I truly do like a lot of his things, the layouts he did for "Duck Amuck", the last two hunters cartoons, "Much Ado About Nutting", the Ralph cartoons, those funky artsy cartoons, and Duck Dodgers, always struck me as wonderful.

Sad news indeed.
:( :( :( :(

Those are good ones Jack, and I'd add "Hareway to the Stars", "What's Opera, Doc?", "From A to Z-z-z-z-z" among others.

FWIW, here's his filmography from his official website (http://www.nobletales.com/filmography.html)

That is sad news. I didn't know he was sick. :( I really enjoy his work...look at those space layouts in "Duck Dodgers" and "Hareway To The Stars"...both the big eyeball and teleporters and the red glass roads and panels were Maurice's creations. This guy was a genius...a real unsung hero in wB animation, he'll be missed.

Sad news. His graphic designs pretty much defined the Warner Bros' cartoons' look from the time the studio re-opened until its 1963 demise. "What's Opera, Doc" always comes in for the most priase, but to me, his floating city from "Hare-Way To The Stars," was Maurice's most inventive work (though Paul Julian had him beat by 17 years in putting modern art on the walls of a cartoon character's house....)

Turns out he's been sick for the past six months, but that filmography you can click on is awful, the years are almost all incorrect (most are either 1951s or 1961s), and "Operation: Rabbit" wasn't laid out by Noble.
