I am in the right thread?

Anyway, does anyone ever remember seeing this show or liking this show.

I'm guessing you're referring to the animated Clerks right? Well I saw it, once. The entire 6 episodes all in one sitting (It was The Comedey Central marathon of the show all the way back in December 2002). It was a really great and funny show, even though I really didn't watch the Clerk movies.

It was a great show....nothing like the movie....but like the movie (and the other four films in Kevin Smith's View Askew series), it was great. I especially liked the second episode where they are stuck in the freezer.

Oh, it's also a good thing that they used the cast of the original movie to play the voices of the characters they played. I really liked how Charles Barkley showed up in all but one episode.

I've only seen a 2 episodes up until earlier this week. I just got the DVD for about $12 and I loved it. It had great jokes. I can't wait for the movie.

The Clerks animated series is great. I've watched each episode numerous times. I just can't get enough of it! :D

It's a very funny set of 6 episodes, owing in no small part to Kevin Smith's key involvement in the writing. I highly suggest getting the DVD; the commentary, which basically is one long commentary over all 6 episodes, is like all Smith commentaries in that they're anecdote-ridden and hilarious. It should be of particular interest, I feel, for anybody who considers himself an animation enthusiast, as Smith and his cohorts on the commentary tell the whole story of how their show failed, due to terrible network interference.

"And with the evil millionaire, it's like it's the Simpsons. Also, I feel that you come off as very gay on the show. Thank you!"

Ah, Clerks the Animated Series...one of my favorite TV series of all time. I taped both episodes when they premired on ABC in 2000, mainly because I was in Arizona at the time with no TV, but also because I knew it was not going to last. I watched that tape like crazy, memorized lines (heck, at one point I'm sure I could do the entire courtroom episode from memory,) but didn't get the DVD until last fall. I watched all the episodes in one sitting, then, out of curiousity, turned on the commentary on one episode. I then watched all the episodes, with commentary, in one sitting. (To emphasize what has been said before me: that commentary is just as good as the series itself. Kevin Smith is just hilarious - "See that bowl of rice there in the background? That wasn't there in the script, read into it what you will. [In bad, stereotypical generic Asian accent] 'HAHAHA, stupid American, give me something to raff at in your stupid show!'") It was the greatest Saturday ever.

I am eagerly awaiting the movie, as it's probably the only way we'll see "Jersey Universe" characters again, at least for a while. Hopefully, Comedy Central or MTV will fund the production of a second season (as is often rumored,) because that would rock so hard I would not be able to contain myself.

And animator Hon.

"I no fired, Chris Bailey! I ruin your show!"

About as bucktooth as it gets, but damn if I don't laugh every time they do it.

Ah, Clerks: The Cartoon. I gave it 98% at Suki Nihon (http://suki.dmgice.com), knocking off 2 points due to ABC's idiocy.

I'd love to see Cartoon Network accquire it, as it will pretty much be guarenteed a ratings hit and CN will want new episodes to be made (Home Movies II).

There's really only a small chance of that happening, since Comedy Central has the rights now to Clerks, and isn't going to give them up without some sort of expensive deal. While it's possible it could happen, I wouldn't bet any money on it.

Clerks: TAS was the best TV show ever. I too wish more episode were made. Maybe Kevin will grant our wish if the Clerks: TAS movie is successful.

BIG AMERICAN PARTY!

I loved that show. What was up with Charles Barkley anywway? is he a buddy of Smith's theat just begged to be in the show?

I would have loved to see more of the Askewniverse characters show up over time, but I guess we just have to wait for the inaction figures and the movie "Sell out"

"Oh my god who's driving car? Bear is driving car, how can that be?"

Saw the two episodes that actually made it to ABC once at a friend's house, bought the dvd set soon as it came out and still loving it.

Damn rice bowl.

For a while, a Clerks animated movie seemed like a possibility, but given that it's been pulled from the imdb.com site as an upcoming project, who knows if it will ever get put together.

edit: The animated movie would appear to be in production, though maybe not.... hmmm:

in flash it would seem as well... take that Animator Hon!

This series was great, and I though it should've lasted more than 6 eps. :(

the movie (should it really be coming together), would definetely let the gloves off Smith, though I hope he pushes limits while maintaining all the pop culture satire that made the show work.
