This is the first design in a type of "super-hero anthology" that I've come up with involving a character of my own design called the Savior. It'll include depictions of the character throughout different periods in history, from the time of World War II to the far distant future. Shown here is the Golden Age Savior ... alias Jack Blake, a newsreel correspondant who received extraordinary powers from a strange radioactive meteoric fragment that fell to Earth in 1939. Among the Savior's powers are super-strength, flight, invulnerability to most forms of physical harm, super-speed and "electromagnetic vision" ... meaning he can project virtually any form of energy found in the electromagnetic spectrum from his eyes.

Cool idea! :D Nice character, too. He looks like a combination of a bunch of different heroes.

I don't know why I hadn't thought about the Golden/Silver Age looks for characters of my own, but your idea intrigues me. I've had some go through different phases for sure, but haven't really thought of them being from different eras before.

It is a pretty cool concept and great execution, as always :D

Thanks, folks. I'm glad you like my work. But to be honest, I've been doing some thinking and I'm sort of considering redesigning the Golden Age look of the character along a bit of a different line so he doesn't look quite as much like the early Superman. After that's done, it'll be on to the Silver Age version. Stay tuned.
