According to an article referenced by www.tvshowsondvd.com, it will contain 26 episodes (most likely Jet Fuel Formula and Box Top Robbery) and a Rarely-Seen "U.S. Savings Stamp Club" episode. Also a 16 page booklet detailing the origins and popularity of the characters.

Is this good or bad? How many episodes were there in the first season?

26 episodes were originally in season 1 (Jet Fuel Formula and Box Top Robbery). Later seasons had more stories, but only because they had fewer chapters each.

P.S. This is my 200th post on these boards!

And don't worry that the episodes won't take up four discs; I am guessing that all the Fractured Fairy Tales, Peabody's Improbable History, and Bullwinkle segments for the season will be on the set too...thus, 26 half-hours.

The mindless mountie didn't join the cast until the move to NBC.

So don't expect any Dudley cartoons until season 3 and 4 are released. The same goes for Aesop and Son.

Actually, to repeal my last statement, Aesop and Son premiered in season 2.

Does anyone know of an episode guide that tells which segment episodes originally aired together?

I'm not sure if such a guide exists.

BTW, I wonder if "Jet Fuel Forumla" (if that's the one) will be complete on the disc with all 40 segments or the shortened 6 segment version that was made for syndication.

Well, twenty-six 30 minute episodes are in the set, and with 52 segments for "Jet Fuel Formula" and "Box Top Robbery" combined, at the standard 2 segments per episode, that amounts to twenty-six episodes. All 40 segments will be there.
