Kind of an obligatory thread for each show. Personally, I'd say Brian, followed by Peter > Stewie > Chris > Lois > Meg.

Stewie then Brian. They could make a spin off show with just the two of them and it would still be funny. The make a good team.

True (Espically after seeing "Road to Road Island" and "European Road Show") but I don't think a whole series could support them... unless it had a bunch of wacky and crazy adventures and various co-stars to fill the void between their duoship. Let's see as for favorites, I would have to say (In this order) Stewie, Lois, Peter, Brian, Chris, and Meg. Besides Meg though there really too close to call for favorites.

Stewie and Brian. They're the only original (main) characters. And, infact, they're quite brilliant. All of the other characters are just lame epitomes of clichéd sitcom archetypes. I honestly wouldn't mind if new episodes of Family Guy were made with just the two of them.

...what? The show would...suck, then. Though Stewie & Brian are the only "original" characters, they aren't the only good ones. The entire family is great. The show wouldn't work if it was just a talking dog and baby...in fact, I think Brian is at his best working with Peter and Stewie is at his best working with Lois. I strongly disagree there.

Wait, don't get me wrong. Family Guy is a brilliant show, and there are hundreds of scenes with the other characters that are classic, but Brian and Stewie are the only good characters, in my opinion. I acknowledge that Brian and Stewie taken out of context and just placed arbitrarily in a loft wouldn't be funny, and that Brian and Stewie play off the other characters excellently, but Peter, Lois, Meg, and Chris themselves don't really do anything for me. But I realize the premise would be jeopardized if they were removed, but they're still my least favorite characters.

You know who could support their own series? Phineas and Barnaby, the old-timey weightlifters.
Stewie and then Brian get my vote since they're pretty much the main reason I watch the show.

Where's E.T. on this poll? :D "Oh no, it's the government! Run, E.T., run!" - classic

First off, you have to be an original character on the show and have more then 5 SECONDS of screen time. You know, you forgot to mention the other Family Guy cast members outside the family. After all, you might as well call this poll "Who is you're favorite Griffin". My top three outside of the Family would be Mayor West, Cleveland, Tom and Diane, and Quagmire.

Stewie is by far the greatest character on the show, closely followed by Brian. Although, without the other characters, IMHO, the show wouldn't be nearly as funny. I love the Lois/Stewie relationship--the fact that she pretty much ignores all his megalomaniac-ramblings is one of the best parts of the show for me.

Among the choices on the list, I chose Brian. However, my overall favorite characters are Quagmire and Adam West.

Brian is my favorite charecter followed by the following: Stewie> Peter> Chris> Lois> Meg.
I like Stewie better...C'mon he's a mean talkin' baby for cripes sake! He could make a good juvenile delinquent or a villain (like a mad scientist)! Following are Brian> Peter> Chris> Lois> Meg

Here's my order:
1. Brian- Dog+ Smart+ Talking+ Alcholic= Genius
2. Stewie- Baby+ Evil= Funny :D
3.Evil Monkey- Monkey + Evil= Funny once again. :D :D
Later.
Stewie is by far the best character IMO. He just cracks me up. He's a paranoid, evil, smartass, genius baby. What's not to like? I love how everyone besides Brian (It would be a shame if Brian ignored him. Those two play off eachother so well) ignores what he has to say most of the time. His own mother doesn't even seem to notice that he hates her guts. lol
Lois: Stewie, why don't you play in the other room?
Stewie: Why don't you burn in hell?!
I like him for his personality obviously, but that british accent just makes him even funnier. Seth Mcfarlene even won an Emmy for voicing him. I think it was well-deserved.
I like all the characters though. Even Meg's okay. She can be pretty annoying though.... At least she's good for a laugh now and then. The creator obviously made her so one-dimensional on purpose. She gets made fun of for her lack of personality all the time.
Meg: I know I don't speak out much and it's really hard for me to talk about my feelings, but...
Psychiatrist(interupting): Why don't we start with someone more interesting?

Chalk up another for Stewie, then Brian (close 2nd),
Stewie being an evil baby with the accent, and being a baby with an adult man's voice, puts him over the top.
