Apparently Disney is the third party preventing DiC from releasing Sonic SatAM DVDs. They were even planning on releasing all 26 episodes in a box set. They will manage to release Sonic Underground on DVD. Find out more here. (http://www.satamsonic.com/suportsu.html)

This is why I avoid giving Disney my money. They got it for the Toy Story movies and that's all they shall ever get.

So to get the good Sonic series, we have to shell out money for the crappy Sonic series?

I'm sorry, but it ain't happening, at least not with my money.

I really hope they change their minds on giving DIC the rights to release the Saturday Morning Cartoon Sonic, because to give the Sonic Underground the release to a DVD and not SatAM is well... showing major signs of brain damage if you ask me.

Well...this blows.

Once again Disney is trying to screw everyone. Don't get me wrong, Sonic Underground is ok in my standards but SATAM is THE series for any major fan of Sonic. And now I have to wait til SU sells....

Once again. This blows

If Disney is so desperate in making money, then why do they pull bone-head stunts like this?

Gosh I hate Disney...

They have so many properties that deserve seasonally box sets and they never will make them.

Their own stuff:
- Darkwing Duck
- Duck Tales
- Chip'n Dale Rescue Rangers
- TaleSpin
- Goof Troop
- Gargoyles
- Mighty Ducks

Their aquired stuff:
- Digimon
- Mighty Morphin Power Rangers
- Spider-Man: TAS
- X-Men: TAS
- Hulk: TAS
- Iron Man: TAS
- Fantastic Four: TAS
- The Tick: TAS (I'm pretty sure they own it)
- Masked Rider
- Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation (sure it was bad, but... well... I'd buy it)
- and plenty more...

And now they are keeping Sonic SatAM from being a DVD boxset.

Since they were planning on making a boxset for that maybe they are also going to make one for Captain N and all those Super Mario Bros. cartoons.

I completely agree! But Disney would never do that. It's okay though because who says Disney has to? Toei has the rights in Japan. It's entirely possible that they could release box sets of Zyuranger, Dairanger, and Kakuranger. They might even be able to have them subtitled in English.

I would love box sets with episode comparrisons of Sentai and Power Rangers. That would be awsome. There are more episodes of the Sentai than there are of Power Rangers though. So people might miss stuff they wouldn't if they saw the each Sentai series in it's entirety. It's really not likely though. Disney edits out things in Power Rangers reruns... They'd never allow death (something that happens in several Sentai series) on a kids DVD release. Ah well...

Yeah I'd buy pretty much everything on that list of possible box sets as well. Too bad Disney wont wise up and give them to us though.

Why can't Disney understand how much we'd be willing to pay for billingual digimon boxsets. Hell, I'd pay $150 for the first season billingual.

Disney doesn't do that because most of those things won't sell. Yeah, we care about them but unfortunately the general public does not.

Yeah, but why are they willing to do dvd's for somethings, but not a program like Digimon that was at one point the highest rated program on Saturday mornings? That's what I don't get.

Hum. Does Disney have anything to do with the Lack of Digimon 04's dub in the uk I wonder?

Shouldn't they take a chance with Spider-Man? I mean he is an iconic character just like Mickey Mouse, Batman/Superman, Mario, etc.

Surely merchandise related to iconic characters sell like hotcakes (Forgive the cliche), don't they?

What about the Mario DVDs? Anyway there's fortunatey still a chance that Sonic SatAM will see release
