somewhere along the line you've lost to yoshi or jigglypuff
nobody likes to admit it but it happens

so what i'm asking is
if the smash bros characters were at their full power from the game
how would the game realy end...

after all link's sword is the Master sword able to reflect energy
and do all kinds of damage
then he's got other stuff like silver arrows, magic, and later armor

then you have samus with that powersuit.
and weapons like crazy...what's kirby gonna do about the plasma beam?

in my opinion it would come down to a close race between samus
link, gannondorf and possibly zelda (but hey.. she gets captured alot)
because in their games they're extremely powerfull but
appearently they cant use all their power in smash bros.

then characters like jigglypuff aren't gonna be able to touch
others like bowser and armored ones

so lets just say
if all the characters were only as powerfull as they are in the game
with all the powerups and whatnot who would win?

Jigglypuff has an attack that instantly KO's people, so I don't think it's shameful to lose to her.

As for the topic, I think Mario would win since he has so many power ups. Of course if Mewtwo is allowed to used his psychic powers, he would beat them all.

my brother and best friend have to admit it all the time :D

actually jigglypuff would win at full power because the real sing attack would effect everyone, no matter how far away they are, and not to mention being lvl 99 with TMed blizzard, psychic, and thunder... :D

but i think gannondorf and mewtwo would be next... waves of darkness...

That's a tough question. Who would win if everyone had all their abilities from their games? I have no idea. Mewtwo's psychic powers are extrordinary. Mario can do just about anything physical. Link is a master swordsman with a mystical arsenal. Samus has an almost unstoppable array of weaponry, not to mention her power suit's capabilities. Kirby can eat anything and copy any ability. Jigglypuff's "Sing" sends anyone within earshot to slumberland. I can't decide who would win. I can talk about everyone's good points forever. I guess it would all come down to whoever doesn't use their powers at the right time. Who knows who that would be. So, to answer your question, I don't know who would win.

Cranking the handicapps down and fighting a level 9 that can literallly KO you in 3 hits isn't embarassing to claim loss to.

Mewtwo would win definitely, if not then Link

mewtwo may have a psychic advantage
however
i doubt that rivals Ganondorfs magical advantage

another point being... magic is what?
it may be psychic or it may be something else
so links master sword may be able to deflect or absorb it

another point of consideration is
can mewtwo deflect magic?
it may be different than psionics (exept in golden sun)

as for jigglypuff
here's my analogy of how not powerfull his attacks can be

yea sure in the GAME he may have a one hit KO thing
but how realistic is that realy?
i said from the games they are from not in smash bros
if you took a super powered up jiggly puff
the thing has a mass of what? 20 pounds after all it's mostly air
the game even says that
it may be able to KO an onix
but what is jiggly gonna do about
an armored bounty hunter blasting white hot plasma
with the orders to eliminate all jigglypuffs

samus's suit more than likely can tune out sound
so at least their safe from jiggly's more annoying attack

in the games...jigglypuffs are little more than cute
a lvl 99 pickachu could desimate a lvl 99 jigglypuff
believe me I've done it
i never liked the puff that much i always lost whenever i used one
in any game... it's mostly cuteness that's all and a favorite of some
so that's why they added it

of course now i have this funny image from metroid prime
...your going through the lab with the metroids
you see something float at you on your heat vision
thinking it's a metroid you blast it with your plasma beam only to find out
some twisted space pirate likes breeding jiggly puffs
and you see the melted jigglypuddle at your feet
the adventure doesn't stop there...hundreds of jigglypuffs are
hovering around...similarly to metroids sept weaker

maybe you found out... i don't like jiggly puffs
and actualy i don't
don't overestimate the little guys realy....

Well, technically, if everybody had all the powers and abilities they have in the games from which they come, Fox and Falco would be flying around in their Arwings blasting the hell out of everyone else with impunity. Now, Samus' spaceship might have some kind of comparable combat capabilities (maybe Metroid Prime establishes this, I'm not sure, it's the only Metroid game I haven't played extensively) but, magic or no, psionics or no, I can't see how any other character in the game could possibly stand up against that. And as for Samus, I doubt her pilot skills could stand up against Fox's and Falco's, so realistically everyone else would get taken out relatively quick and we'd wind up with a one-on-one battle.

Edit: Disregard the word "realistically" in the above sentence. I just realized how ludicrous it is to use that word: nothing we discuss in this thread is going to be remotely realistic. (-:

Mewtwo could easilly deflect any laser blasts thrown in his way form either Arwings or Samus's ship

You ask me what if they were at their "full" power, who would win? If that was the case, the winner would be Jigglypuff. No, no, do not laugh, fools. For in the game, Jigglypuff's singing power only puts to sleep those within a few centimeters of him. However, in the Pokémon games and TV show, his song puts asleep everyone for miles. Therefore, all Jigglypuff would have to do it sing his song, everone would fall asleep, and he could beat their brains out while they snooze.

i wouldnt put too much faith in psychic abilities
totaly overwhelming someone is one way to get around that
things like large plasma blasts, explosions, direct hits and such can..
afterall in the game ...he is capturable and in turn defeatable
then again in the movies he's some all powerfull deity
but i said games didn't I :) not movies

and skarr... note the above
i imagine samus' suit has a sound filter
and in a real situation all you need to do is cover you ears
... so that cancels jigglys singing out
besides jiggly has low attack values so even if in a realistic
situation where jiggly somehow puts somone asleap
he/she/it can't do all that much damage...
i've played the games and tried using one with minimal results

not to mention ...who's gonna sleep while being beaten up?

i never thought about the whole thing about starfox's ships and stuff
but then again that's getting a little out of hand i guess
and nobody is sure about the capability of samus' ship either

the bounty hunter Fett's slave I has tons of weaponry
samus IS a bounty hunter too and i imagine space pirates have alot of
weapons on their ships (just a guess) perhaps in the next metroid
they need to add a part where this wonderfull ship is used?

Since when was Yosi such a bad character? That rolling egg move rocked!

i'm gonna post again to point out a couple of things that could happen if the thread was: smash bros characters... at realistic powers
for starters, link, young link, marth, and roy could easily win, i mean a real sword stab would cause a mortal wound
also, pichu and pikachu: electricity would realistically fry most of the characters
if you think star wars, fox and falco would have an advantage with the lasers
zelda: the real din's fire would be all powerful... and for sheik (or shiek, i keep forgetting which), if the teleport was really quick, just think X2, nightcrawler, white house scene
also links bombs would be a lot stronger
and of course mewtwo can control minds, so... yeah...
but thats not the thread so.. just forget it...

i still vouch for jiggly's "I'm gonna be lvl 99 sing you to sleep then pulverise you with thunder, blizzard, and or psychic"

Mewto at his maximum power level would be able to defeat all 24 of them at once. He can erase an entire groups minds in a matter o seconds(and seeing something familiar or other bs won't help them remember), he can telepathically control many people at once, he can use his powers to shut off all special techniques other than his own, he is a master at telekinesis, he can fire extremely powerfull psychic blasts, and he is smart enough to create his own clone army.

Let me put it this way. He could just erase their minds so they didn't know how to do anything. Fox wouldn't have a clue how to pilot a ship, Mario wouldn't know how to turn into Super Mario, Gannondorf wouldn't know how to use magic. Then he could control half of them, have them fight the other half, repeat until him and one other were left, and make their mind explode/blast them with psychic blasts/telepathically force them to commit suicide.

<steps in from lurking> I'm amazed no one mentioned Ness. His PSI abilities are likely more then a match for MewTwo, if not equal. Don't forget, his powers are NOTHING like the ones in EarthBound. (Before someone says Ness had a shield too, Ness' shield only absorbed physical attacks, and doesn't heal him) Not to mention he has the power of the eight sanctuaries at the end of the game. Of course, I could be wrong...<hides again>

Is this from the games, or the anime / manga? Allow me to quote from the first post in the thread,

I've never gotten Mewtwo in the Pokemon games, so I don't know how powerful he is there, but your description doesn't sound like stuff that would be established in a game. I could be wrong, though.

Well if the characters are at their full strength, then Mewtwo should be as strong as the anime version. The only reason why he isn't like that in the games is that he would be far too strong, you will win every battle no matter what.
