Survey shows Americans less trusting, more suspicious than ever. (http://www.miami.com/mld/miamiherald/6033005.htm) Who do you trust the most? I'll say my parents.

Were you saying something? I was too busy stealing your wallet.
Seriously, I don't really trust anyone. People are a bit off the deep end, if you ask me, and I believe if you put a whole lot of trust in one person, then they'll betray you.

In the words of Bret Hart, "There seems to be a new motto around here; 'you scratch my back and I'll stab yours.'"
Haven't minorites in America been saying this stuff for years and years? Geez. Why shouldn't the country be distrustful after terror attacks and "one level below maximum" terror alert, a war, power elite money laundering and the RIAA going after downloaders? Add to that the higher crime rates, higher unemployment rate, budget problems, and yet another recession looming. Yikes.
Well, "I trust my barber."

I hate to say this but I think I agree with you. I mean just this week one of my "best friends" stabbed me in the back, for the second time! Maybe I put TOO much trust in to her. Oh well her loss!

So far (with 12 votes cast) I'm the only one who has voted "Myself." I don't know how you can trust anyone more than you trust yourself. The only person you can always know the feelings and motivations of is yourself.

Trust? I don't even trust myself! My whole life is already a lie!
I guess I trust my family, insofar as how predictable they are so they never pull the wool over me too often.

There are people who can't trust themselves. They are called drug addicts. :D The reason I trust my parents more then myself is they are older wiser.

I trust my parents since they have yet to let me down yet. My friends are great and all, but I just can't trust them with everything.

I trust no one except my self. We are human, we are flawed, and when it comes down to it we can be very selfish. If I want something done "right" in my own eyes I'll do it myself. I don' t have trust issues, I'm just very realistic on the matter.
I only have one thing to say about the topic of this thread:
God bless America :p

I trust no one cause if you put your trust in someone they are bound to let you down cause they are only human and humans make mistakes.

I only truly trust myself, my best friend, and one of my cousins.

Well, everyone seems to be trusting and not suspicious of this survey... :p After decades of popular conspiracy theories since World War II about the government, and the popularity of TV shows like "The X-Files" and movies like "The Matrix", there are some people convinced that the world is out to get them... if the world exists at all.

When I was younger I would trust people until they gave me a reason not to. Every person I've ever trusted has let me down. Now I just don't waste my time.
If they want to trust me that's fine, but there is no way I'll ever invest that kind of time and energy in worthless people again. How will I find the people who are worth my time? I really don't care any more.
The only person I will ever trust is myself.
This thread reminds me of an article I read a few days ago. A 16 year old guy was lured by his new 15 year old girlfriend (promise of sex) into a field where three of his FRIENDS beat him to death with a hammer, a hatchet and a brick. They killed him to steal his $500 to buy drugs. He was beaten so severely that he was unrecognizable. I can't even explain how it made me feel to read that. Thankfully, all of them (ages 15, 16, 16, 17) were charged as adults with murder. Now they will either die or rot in prison for killing a friend, all for $500

Eh, it's probably a good idea not to be too trusting. I agree with Shnay...

Trust Yourself! (and no one else) (I made that .gif the other day and have been looking for an excuse to use it somewhere)

Who took this survey? Did they include minorities? This doesn't look very scientific.
I DON'T TRUST THIS SURVEY!!
