I'm back, everyone. Sorry for my absence, but I've had a busy couple of weeks with regular work, volunteering for the Greek Summer Festival that happened just this past weekend, trying to fit in some quality time with my gf, and getting this particular piece done. The look for this character was originally created by fellow DCU Animated poster and designer Kardiac as a Golden Age take on my own online alias, and I thought it was really cool. After another fellow poster and artist WolfKnyght created his rendition of the TriSaber character at my request, I finally decided to take a crack at it myself. So without further delay, I give you my vision of the Golden Age swashbuckler himself: TriSaber!

Very nice! I should do a "self portrait" someday, too. :)

P.S. Where's the third saber? (I was thinking of a different question, but decided not to say it...:p)

HEH! Thanks, folks. Actually, Batmanuel, the third saber is actually the character's incredibly sharp mind and wit (or so I'm told anyway). Glad you like my rendition of ... uhm ... myself, but if truth be told, this character actually looks pretty much nothing like the real me ...

... so my true identity remains a secret. :p

Awww ... I bet you say that to all the guys. ;)

lol. With half the characters I see, we need some classic style in new comics.

lol. With half the characters I see, we need some classic style in new comics.Unfortunately, Del, I have to agree. It seems that a given character's popularity is directly proportional to one of three things:

1. Their kill ratios
2. How ridiculously lethal their weaponry happens to be
3. How dysfunctional (a.k.a. messed up in the head) they are

I mean, doesn't anyone besides Superman and Captain America fight the good fight because of a strong sense of morality or because no one else can or will? It seems like almost every popular super-hero has to have some sort of chip on their shoulder or else has to be a borderline psychopath.

I love it, Tri! I've always liked your style, almost like a halfway point between animated and comic appearance. And that costume is wicked awesome.

I love it, Tri! I've always liked your style, almost like a halfway point between animated and comic appearance. And that costume is wicked awesome. :cool:Thanks, Bats. The costume was actually designed by my good buddy Kardiac from the DCU Animated board, and I think it's cool, too.

As for what's next, I thought I'd start in with some anthology pieces for a character of my very own called The Savior. And I've pretty much worked out the different periods that will have a hero called the Savior (each one being designed according to the period). They'll be as follows:

1939: The Golden Age
1961: The Silver Age
1978: The Bronze Age
2005: The Modern Age
2125: The Near Future
3082: The Far Future
6510: The Entropy War
9599: At Earth's End

The first of the line, the Golden Age Savior, is in the pencilling stages right now and should be ready soon.
