i did this one for fun...being that the new batman adventures never included title cards i wanted to create my own vision of what the cards might have looked like for the series...i decided to start with one of my fav. 'tnba' eps. 'over the edge'. i used colored pencils on black toned pastel paper for this conceptual sketch... let me know your thoughts on it. thanx!

That is impressive and it would've made an excellent title card.

Good Ol' Batmanuel!

Great idea! You did a good job and the whole thing is appropriately dark. :)

That looks great, I love it! *HIGH FIVE*

I, too, have done a few TNBA title cards in my series of pics...I may have done 8 by now. I did one for DOUBLE TALK earlier this week, actually. I haven't gotten around to OVER THE EDGE, though - it's such an intense episode, I didn't want to make a title card until I had a great idea to put down on paper. :)

Your idea is great, however. Good job!

thanks for all the positive feedback..it was pretty hard for me to come up with an image to sum up the episode's mood too...i finally decided to go with the ep's core-barb's fears regarding her relationship with her father...also, i had been wanting to do a more finished dramatic looking piece on dark paper for a while now, so this was a good image to start with...thanks again. glad you liked it.

Excellent title card design. The lines are not too bright and layed out very well to show the image needed. Great page design as well.

the only thing that bugs me is that Batman looks too squashed, but it still does works.

what did you use... White color pencil on black paper?

Awesome. I loved that episode... you should make one for Growing Pains, and for Cold Comfort, and one for Beware The Creeper, and one for Sins of the Father... heck, one for all of them.

Very nice, really cool colors, I love Barbara! Hope to see more like it, or at least just more art.

It's a tough ep to do, since you don't want to give too much away. The end result is telling without explaining the precise elements of the story. You know it's to do with the Gordon's. The distance of Batman shows maybe a fracture or seperation between the Gordon's and the Darkknight. The colours are sombre and reflect the tragedy. Nice, in a sad sort of way.. :)

thanks. i used a mix of prussian blue watercolor pencil for the whole dark mass tones, and non-photo blue and white colored pencil for the highlights. it was done on some black 60 lb. strathmore charcoal paper.

Very cool cover!! Really love the stetching. It looks sad has it should be since the Over The Edge was sad put thankfully enough, the sadness wasn't real if you get my meaning.
