I've been wanting to get a subscription on one of the game sites for a while now, and I'm finally getting one soon. But I need help on finding the best site to get a subscription to. I've been looking at IGN and Gamespot for my subscription. So, can someone tell me a comparison between those 2, like which one has the most gaming coverage, better videos, gets news about games first, etc. Thanks for your help.

Personally, I've been a subscriber to IGN for the past year and I like it. I know everyone's got their own feelings about them, but I find their reviews to be fair and their coverage to be pretty complete. You can turn off ads as an insider too. The roundtable etc. makes for good reading. Gamespot always seemed (at least to me) to be heavier on videos/pics, lighter on actual writing. However, now that Gamespot (Read: CNET) has acquired gamefaqs.com, you might want to wait and see what they'll do with that before you decide.

If I were you, I'd wait to see if GameFAQs will have some sort of membership...thing. I think I might get that if they do.
I find IGN and Gamespot quite lacking...seeing as if you just surf the board of <insert game here> on GF's, then you can find links to videos, pics, etc.
My advice: Save your money.
