Well, we all know that Clark WILL be back in SMALLVILLE at some point, and that he will eventually reconcile with his folks. Maybe not everything will be hunky-dory again, but he'll be back in their good graces in a matter of time. Clark just needs to "find himself". Maybe he's going to check out Christopher Reeve in NYC again.

Lionel Luthor knows a lot more about Clark than he lets on. I wouldn't be surprised if he found out Clark's secret beyond a shadow of a doubt in season 2.

As for what's happening with Lex and Helen - that one is just confusing. Yet, it's the most exciting.

Pete - no change. He's always gonna be Clark's buddy, no matter what happens. I wish they gave his character more to do. He's probably the least developed regular on the show.

Lana and Chloe - tensions are just going to rise between the two, and I expect that they'll split up on a more permanent basis.

Bruce Wayne - Yeah, I hope he's brought in on the show next year for a two-or-three episode arc, as the writers want. But that's just a pipe dream. :)

I personally think he's on his way to Metropolis. I remember the producers saying they wanted to explore Metropolis and particularly the daily planet. I think we will meet up with other Superman characters maybe even the future Metallo.

Call me crazy, but I have a feeling Clark may find himself in the far north. Also, season 3 will have him finally develop superhearing.

Chole - Won't be working with Lionel for long. Her suicide inches ever closer.

Speaking of Lionel...I think he had something to do with the honeymoon jet. Season 3 will see the death of him at the hands of his son. Possibly season 4, but I have no doubt Lex kills him or at least arranges for it.

Pete and Lana will become closer while Clark is away, planting the seed for when they are later married.

I'm with Tim. STILL praying for Bruce Wayne.

Yes, it'll be interesting. The show's direction looks so uncertain now and I love it. It would be cool if Pete's new story arc is how he becomes Clark's defender against Chloe and Lionel. It would give his character something to do. With Lana appreciating his effort, it could lead to hints about their future marriage... but I won't want to see Lana and Pete fall for each other in Smallville.

I would be very careful with a Bruce Wayne arc. Remember, this is Smallville, not Batman: Year One. If Bruce is brought in, the story must somehow tie into Clark's development, not Bruce's. Otherwise, the episode(s) will appear contrived and meaningless in the series. This show is all about Clark's development (and to an equal extent, Lex's).
