No, I'm not dead. Dead tired, maybe.

Here's where I've been: right after I was finished my first year of university (In Commerce, of all things), I started an Animation class for the summer. It's really great and everything I asked for. It's also a LOT of work X_X I basically spend my whole day ding homework, as SJJ can attest, since I ***** to him while I do it. ^_^

Anyway, I'm learning life drawing, layout design, technical drawing, and character design at the moment... great stuff. Here's some character designs from the class. They don't have any faces or details, so it sort of looks like nudity, but it's not!

The online persona of SyberKat, my Wong Sistah (I've drawn her fairly often) in Looney Tune style. I used Lola Bunny for reference, since she was the only female LT character I could find. (And no, Tweety doesn't count :P)

Standard girl. I like drawing girls. :)

My original version was unbelievably crappy.. I was trying to draw a fat guy, and apparently I can't draw fat men all that well. The teacher didn't think it was bad- except he thought it was a woman. So what the hell, I just redrew the entire thing because for some reason I can draw fat women, but not fat men. Don't ask; I don't understand it either.

Funny thing- I like overweight women. They've got more deliciously sexy curves, and I find them a lot more fun to draw. :)

Skinny, gangly, awkward teenaged boy caught in the throes of puberty. The second one looks like he's saying, "Why are my feet so big?"

As I told ya last night NF, nice designs! What I didn't tell you last night is that the first few sketches look a lot like Casper (aka, the Friendly Ghost). It's almost hauntingly similar. *COUGH* Get it?

I love 'em all, but the ones with the larger female figure just strike me as the most expressive. Maybe it's the generous curves. The added weight to keep her more rooted to the ground. Or just the inclusion of the cigarette holder. Either way, it speaks to me. I dig! :)

lmao, your comments are so much fun to read. I love these character sketches! So much fun to peer into an artists life and all that, and these are some really awesome basic pics.

Awww.. that baby is so cute! :p Nightflower, it's always a pleasure to catch some of your work! They're all very fluid and full of motion; I like all of them! Especially the first and the third ones; they're my favorite ones! :)
