Worried that you may not get a copy of The Dark Knight Strikes Back, destined to be the book of December? Comic Newsarama reports the DC Comics has announced several programs they are putting in place to help "ensure consistent availability" of issue #1.

First, the publisher announced that retailers can choose when they will receive copies over the first four weeks of release. The second option allows retailers to place guaranteed orders to receive copies in up to four shipments over the book's first four weeks of release, or in any combination/permutation of ship weeks they choose. For example, in addition to receiving all orders on 12/5, or orders each week over the first four weeks, retailers can order copies to arrive in week's #1 and #3 as well. This will help draw in non-comic readers as well.
