No real theme today...though I noted that "Eyes for You" and "Dan McFoo" featured the same celebrity impersonation--an actress who sighs "rahhhhhhhlly I do" (I keep thinking it's Mae West, but I have a feeling I'm wrong)...and "Dan McFoo" and "Bad Luck Blackie" both use the horseshoe-and-horse gag.
Was that Tex Avery himself doing the bulldog's deep guffaw in "Blackie"?
Can't help but notice all the Averys were edited...though "Blackie" 's was pretty clean (I can usually tell where and what was cut by abrupt jumps in the film and by its context). What the devil was cut?
For those who actually watched the horrid Wacky World of Tex Avery show, I can't help but notice that their Freddy the Fly was a lame ripoff of Elmer the flea in "Fleadom". A great short, but I still cringe a little at the sight of all those baby fleas....

In "Bad Luck Blackie" as the dog is chasing the kitten outside, the dog inadvertently runs into an outdoor fireplace/barbecue grill. His head emerges from the smokestack, its cone taking the shape of a Coolie hat and making the dog look Chinese. It's a short bit, but edited nonetheless.

You're right - it's not Mae West - it's Katherine Hepburn being impersonated.
