It's Hamtaro time tickyticky kushi-kushi...Hamtaro!
Every weekday at 2:00 p.m. Cartoon Network is bringing us all new epiosdes of the most pint-sized anime yet!
You've got to love those Ham-Hams! So small and cute, and even though people say it's a little kids series, you know you love it even if you say otherwise! Am I right or what?
Monday: Hannah Is In Love
Tuesday: Doctor Lion
Wednesday: Dance, Chef Ham
Thursday: Flying Carp
Friday: Ham-Ham Express
Not really much to say this week. No cruel reschedulings or marathons to ruin the day sooo..discuss!

Kind of a clichéd sit-com plot, and the obligatory Laura side plot with Brandy and the ducks felt completely tacked on. Oh well, they can't all be home runs.

This episode was alright....
A new Osaka ham ham, Hana, I really like how they decided to give Howdy a love interest. Hana was a cool character even though her Southern accent sounded SO FAKE. I think she should take lessons from howdy. Using Brandy as a plot device was a pathetic way to start an obligatory Laura side-plot.
Tomorrow, we see a monkey with a hat that says "Pepe" I can't wait :)
EDIT
This thread died... noone likes hamsters, anyways
Dr.Lion just went off. It was a pretty good episode, the only gripe I have is with the flyer, one moment it was in japanese, the other it was in english..... Meh. I thought Boss was gonna live with Dr.Lion for some reason. The Chickens came back yay!!!

I missed the first 5 minutes of today's episode cuz of the stupid bus. That's a pretty cool car Dr. Lion has, and the cute monkey :p I love monkeys

Doctor Lion
Looks like the Rose of Versailles refugees aren't the only vets in town. Nice little lost dog story, with the Rooster Farm chickies thrown in to fill time. Yes, the Katakana on the lion van said "raion"
Dance, Chef Ham
I wasn't that impressd by the sunflower seed salad at the start of the episode, but the rest of it looked downright appetising. At least the obligatory Laura storyline was parallel to the Ham-Ham storyline as it usually is, rather than what happened on Monday.

I'm taking a culinary class in college right now :D :p I can understand the feelings of a cook who thinks of what others might think of their cooking.
10 kids  Geez!
the only thing cuter than a hamster is a baby hamster.
The only thing cuter than a Baby hamster is 10 dancing baby hamsters.
Just when I thought it wouldn't get any cuter 0_0

Hannah Is In Love:
What in the world was with Hannah's hair?? It was ugly! Sheesh..... I hope she really isn't a Howdy love interest! He's to cool for her! I liked Brandy and the ducks. It was cute and unexpected!
Doctor Lion:
Hamtaro must have a short memory! Hamsters don't get needles but he got all freaked out anyways! Dr. Lion was alot more normal then those other vets so thats a plus. The Ham-Ham archrival Chicka-Chickas appearance in this episode was crazy! Those lil peeps are nuts! I just wish Dr. Lion would have noticed the Ham-Hams trying to help at one point.
Dance, Chef Ham:
Baby Hams for the first time other then Penelope?! And they were real cuties! Chef Ham was neat and his singing was funny to. He and Zaloo should team up. By the way when he mentioned he went around the world he said he went to America to! So now what? This dub is so inconsistent! Maybe this show takes place in some imaginary country?

Wow, Jingle and Sabu and both of Laura's grandparents all in one episode!
Some nice light humor with the various attempts to get a carp windsock airborn. The Ham-Ham's helium balloon idea was actually the best one. Grandpa's second attempt was stupid, that would never stay up without wings. It seemed to work well in the water though. The first one was essentially a remote control helicopter with a carp shaped body, no reason for that one to fail except that helicopters are inherently tricky to control.
Some quick googling says that the carp windsocks are inherent to Kodomo no hi, or Boy's day/Children's day. Maybe that's the real reason Laura's mom wouldn't let her have a carp on the roof. With no sons in the family, it wouldn't quite be appropriate.
Gee, that's another fun thing about this show. Since it's more or less grounded in the real present day Japan, we get a good cross section of the culture and holidays. Even if we have to read between the lines of the English dub to do so.

Ham Ham Express
Jingle and Herbert make another appearance today, boy Herbert is one strong pig pulling a little train full of Ham Hams to the top of the mountain. I like that Ham Ham express train, it's cute and fast and uses Hamster power instead of fossil fuels. lol Penelope ended up as the conductor by beating everyone else in jaken (rock paper scissors) :D :p

Typical Hamtaro plot. Laura goes somewhere, the Ham-Hams tag along out of sight, and some minor crisis arises which the Hams help solve. We should be getting tired of these, but they're all just so well done that there's nothing to dislike.
More of a Jingle Deus-ex-Machina than a Jingle appearance.

Flying Carp:
windsocks! neat! I saw some of them earlier last month on a house nearby. Grandpas flying carps weren't as cool as Robo Joe but the rocket carp that acted like a real one was funny! the ham-hams flying carp attempts were good to. just a fun random episode!
Ham-Ham Express:
Panda sure is a genius! that ham-train of his was rocking! I hope they use it some more. I love how cute lil Penelope got to be the conductor much to Boss' dismay. to bad she doesn't know left from right well! I was fooled by Mr. Yoshi same as Laura and the others. I didn't expect footage of Charlote on that tape!
Fave of the Week:
In a weak week of episodes Dance,Chef Ham stands out for me! Chef Ham is one of the more interesting hams introduced mainly cause he had a family and a world of travels much like Auntie Viv!

I'm with Rabi this week and go with Dance, Chef Ham as the best this week. Nothing too spectacular in this week's episodes, though Chef Ham's antics made it a little more interesting. Hearing about his travels and the variety of food he could make with sunflower seeds added to a much more interesting personality than some of the other new hams. I could have done with a little less shaking from him, though. :D
