Well there was talkbacks for these episodes on the Toonami board even though a lot of people have seen them on Adult Swim, so why not talkbacks for them on SVES?

Man, talk about timing. I had the TV on SVES and muted. Then, I turned the volume up, and looked at the screen. "Wait, that's... Botan! SMILE BOMB! SMILE BOMB!" I had forgotten about Yu Yu showing up on SVES, but it's great to see it on a Saturday night, though a little earlier than it was on ASA.

Man, I love Smile Bomb.

Wow, Keiko has certainly grown since the start of the series.

I honestly don't understand why Matt hates Smile Bomb. I love it.

Heheh...I always liked the first episode. It was so different from the rest of the series, but it was still really, really good. I just wish Yusuke had stayed a ghost a little while longer. It was an interesting concept.

Yeah, they should have adapted the other stories from the manga.

I still think that putting up a review thread for Yu Yu Hakusho on SVES seems kinda pointless (espically with the rerun thread of YYH episode Reviews on the Toonami Board) but oh well, people will do what people will do. I won't say anything else on the subject, except the theme song rocks and the little opening shot at the beginning is a nice way to start things off.

I do. When they aired it on Toonami that one day I was watching it and, I was thinking "What is this crap? It's horrible!" And then I found out that it was Smile Bomb. But hey, I've only heard it once. It might grow on me:p

Yeah, the first episode is a good one, and I especially love the wake scene. And if he were a ghost a little bit longer I wouldn't have minded either. That would be interesting to see what Yusuke would have done if he was a ghost just a litte bit longer.

The tone of the show was definetly different. Plus everyone looked so young! Especially Keiko before she "filled out in all the right places". ;)

Rewatching the first episode, I'm reminded of how pretty Botan is. Somehow, I lost interest during the lastest episodes. I think the art improvments work against her. Although she looks great in the second, supior version of the Smile Bomb opening.

Giving up the Dragonball OP for Smile Bomb....a hard, but rewarding choice.

i think the Toonami board had a talkback because it was the premiere of the kid friendly version.

Yeah, but there's also a talkback for the reruns of the Kid Friendly Version until it gets replaced by Cyber 009 in July. So since there are already two talkback threads for the kid friendly version on the Toonami Board, there really shouldn't be another one just for the Cartoon Network board, unless there are people for some reason who hate Toonami and would never post on the Toonami Board but love Yu Yu Hakusho. The 3 or 4 of you.

personally i think rerun talkbacks are silly, but William C. Maune and Jeff Harris can run the forum however they wish.

Yeah, but I think part of the reason they didn't is because a lot of the stories came off... short. I really don't think that they could have streached the story where Yuseke plays Satan or the Tonooki incedent into a full half-hour.

*pouts* I still say they needed to make devil-Yuseke into an episode

I think they could. However, maybe it's a good thing they didn't (since some of the stories would either be badly edited or not shown now that the series is not on Adult Swim).

BTW, how long do the other topics get to remain sticky? Is it too late for this one to be made a sticky?
