Slightly generic HM topic, but I think its appropiate now.

Now that Season 3 is officially over with "Coffins and Cradles", what do you think is the best season of Home Movies?

Personally, I'd say that Season 3 was the best. It combined the good improvised humor of Season 1 with the better storylines and scripted jokes of Season 2. I think someone said this on another forum: Season 1 + Season 2 = Season 3.

Oh, and if you forgot which episodes were in which seasons, you can check here. (http://adultswim.animationinsider.net/homemovies/CapsuleMainPage.html) (Shameless self-promotion? Nooooooo)

Kind of hard to say, actually. I think season three was better overall, but Season Two had more truley classic episodes in it ("Hiatus", "The Party", "Class Trip", "History" "Pizza Club" and "The Wedding") then Season Three Did (Classics from Season Three are "Shore Leave", "Reniassance", "Guitarmaggedon", "Time To Pay the Price" and "Coffins and Cradles) but it's very close.

It might not be the best, but my favorite is season 1. The retroscripting, realistic situations, irony, and (subdued) squgglevision was very unique and was unlike anything on television at the time. I think that with season 2, and especially season 3, the show became more of a generic animated sitcom than anything else. It's still funny, and all, but just not what it was.

In a surprise to absolutely nobody, I'm going to go with season one. It had the best dialogue, best plots, best movies, and best characterization. In my mind, there's no doubt.

I agree with Shnay and jdoggg, season 1 is my favorite. I still enjoy watching the later seasons, but I prefer Retroscripting and Squigglevision over scripts and Flash.

Blast you for making me choose!

It's an incredibly close race, but if you put a gun to my head, I have to say Season 3. I felt they incorporated the new elements well while still being able to draw from the better elements of the first two seasons.

"Hiatus", "The Party", "Class Trip", "History", "Writers Block", "Pizza Club" and "The Wedding"

are some of my favorite episodes. So I voted Season 2.
