Just saw the Scarlet Pumpernickel cartoon on Boomerang UK, during their Looney Tunes marathon. It seemed to be uncut... or was it?
The audience sees Daffy put the gun to his head and fire it, but then as Daffy gets up from the floor (with a hole in his hat), there appears to be a fake iris-out over his line about 'killing himself to sell a story'! Was something else dropped? I didn't see the reel-change signal at the top-right, which occurs on most unedited cartoons with their original iris-out...
I've heard a lot of talk about this cartoon on the TTTP boards a while ago. Sadly I wasn't able to tape the cartoon :(
