You know how Jerry Beck and Dave Mackie have the Warner Bros. Looney Tunes Title Cards and opener on thier sites?

Well i was looking for some cartoon title cards pertaining to the Walter Lantz Woody's (and even Andy Panda's if they exist on the net) and specifically a collection of the Disney opening shots and Cartoon title Cards as well - the Donald Duck and Mickey Mouse and Goofy cards etc etc.

Does anyone know where I can find any?

I started page of Disney titles awhile back, it can be seen here (http://www.geocities.com/area51/cavern/3144/disneytitles/). I sort of abandoned the project. May 2000 was around the time when my computer crashed. So, I lost some of the material I was going to put there. Maybe someday I will update.

Also, does anyone know what happened to disneyshorts.org (the Encyclopedia of Disney Shorts)? I haven't been able to access it in awhile. The other night I tried and it took me to a porn site.

Well, they finally updated it! It's great to see an excellent page updated once again. Also, would anyone wonder HOW LONG it would take someone to do a Lantz encyclopedia??? WB listings are easy 'cause most are in order of release. I've yet to see a listing of Lantz cartoons in correct order (all of the series: Woody, Andy, Chilly, etc.)

Lantz listings are no doubt more difficult because, as Leonard Maltin states in the "filmography" section of OM&M, around 1967, Universal stopped assigning release dates altogether. That is why starting with that year in the filmography, cartoons are grouped in no order whatsoever. It is undoubtedly the same case with the MGM Tom & Jerry cartoons that Chuck Jones worked on. You'll notice in the MGM filmography, they too are grouped by year but not release order.

Also, for 1965 and 1966, in the Lantz filmography, the first film to be listed is dated January (no surprise there) but the year's last is dated July. Even more intriguing, in 1966, the first film is dated January but the last is dated May! Why there would be no Lantz cartoons released from July 1965 to January 1966 and, then again, from May 1966 to (presumably) January 1967 is beyond me. Every OTHER year Lantz cartoons were released year round. Oh well...
