This week on Family Guy, Peter gets a new job, finds out he's black, trains Joe for the "Special People's Games," and makes peace with Lois' dad.....for a while. Bill Gates, Michael Eisner, and Ted Turner may also show up.
5/26 - "A Fish Out of Water" [3ACX05]
5/27 - "Peter Griffin: Husband, Father...Brother?" [3ACX06]
5/28 - "Ready, Willing, and Disabled" [3ACX07]
5/29 - "Screwed the Pooch" [3ACX08]
Only 4 episodes. I'm sad.
Peter looks like Jabba the Hutt :p

Quagmire had the best lines of the episode.
Quagmire: $50.
Cop: She had 9 STDs.
Quagmire: $45.
Cop:She also soiled herself while being arrested.
Quagmire: $50.
-------
"Fat chicks need love, too. But they gotta pay."
-------
"Taylor Hanson."
Heh.
EVERYONE knows bluefish only weigh, like, 20 pounds. A bumper from last night said so.
Spuds McKenzie's back from beyond the grave, and he's not gonna take it anymore!
Abby pbbbbbbbrrrting Peter was funny, but it was also just plain wrong. *shudders*
I think Daggermouth and Boom Boom would actually be better than most of Nickelodeon's current shows.

He takes to a fish to water, if he was the Family Guy "A Fish Out of Water" episode review
This was a very good continuation to "Mr. Saturday Knight" and had a bunch of good bits like Peter upset and sitting on the couch for two weeks (13 days) and going on a walk using a crane operated by Brian, Meg being humiliated by not going away for Spring Break, when the family went to Seaworld ("And how long has this been going on?") Peter wanting to be a fisherman, Tom Tucker saying Peter was Mercury and being washed by Chris and Stewie, Peter imitating Cast Away and talking to Wilson (My names is Voit dumbass) Stewie talking on the phone to that guy, the police auction bit (with the selling of the panties and the picture of the boat) the pirate guy talking about what happen to the last guy (and Peter thinking he was up to bid), Meg acting dark, Peter's plan to pay for that loan (getting a loan from that bad bank which also turns out to be a tatoo parlor ((okay I'm going to do Kermit the Frog) which was funny) everyone rocking at Spring Break (MTV, VHI and even CNN), the S.S more powerful then Batman Superman Spiderman and the Incredible Hulk all put together, the fisherman giving him directions to a Bar Mitzah ("stop crying you just became a man so start acting like one) becoming a enemy with Henderson and Stewie talking to Steve, Peter insulting those fish, putting that sign up that said he had sex with his fish and then explaining it to that guy, and Peter imagining a naked lady instead of reading the loan, Chris excited about living at the bank, Lois taking Meg to the Spring Break Blowout, the two kids wanting to party with that guy who fell of his balcony, and Lois dancing on the hood of her car, Spuds McKenzie acting crazy, Peter missing his friends (on the T.V) and talking to Alfonzo from Silver Spoons) Carson Daly giving everyone cake and juice and the Tom Green cameo ("Is everyone watching me? Can I stop this?") Stewie fantazying what the house would be with more culture and Peter spontansouley combusting, Lois getting drunk and messing up Meg's plan and passing out, Stewie's joke about Siegfried and Roy, Peter wanting the person on the phone to be the Somerset mom, having Lois on the tape recorder to get out of talking to Lois, Peter and Brian's Wonder Twin rings, Stewie playing pictonary with that other guy, Quagmire's plan of having Peter horeing himself to 50 fat chicks, The old guy talking about how his eye's were bad, and then saying his father was a tree. Act Two had some good laughs as well, like Peter talking to the other couple in their bed (I didn't like the stomach blowing gag though), Lois dragging Meg on stage and Meg ending up dancing and taking her shirt off and people realizing Meg's a chick, and Peter saving all of them in a flashback, Lois breaking out of the cuffs and then her and Meg escaping the police, and then the question of which woman they would have if they weren't married espically Quagmire's answer about Taylor Hanson and then Quagmire thinking they're joking and then realizing it's the truth (I mentioned this in the Family Guy other thread), that guy in the cave ("I wonder where that fish did go, a fish a fish, a fishio) Peter saying Shannon Doderty's eye is mishapen and then Daggermouth threthening them and Peter harpooning him and it turns out he's a robot build by Salty, who wanted them to think he was dead to spring a merchandising franchise (espically the show on Nickelodeon, something I also said in the other thread) and then mentioning that the longer they were there the more people would say it was impossible that he could build a giant fish, Meg flashing the other car ("One's a innine and one's an outie") the show on Nickelodeon, Peter and Lois talking in bed ("My god you're dumb. Thank god for that ass"). I didn't like the other couple was still in the bed though. Since Peter got the 50,000 dollars from Salty shouldn't he not have to live with them, unless it's an act of kindness for letting them live there or something when they had the house. Oh well, still a good episode that I give an A.

Was that an insult of Nickelodean (sic), or just a generic mention?

Loved that one! Favorite parts include the fish cartoon on Nickelodeon, the other family (especially with the lady and Peter's stomach), Quagmire's "choice", the "fancy" sequence ("Oh my, it appears I've spontaneously combusted!"), the Wonder Twin rings ("We got these in a box of Count Chocula"), and more. Even Meg & Lois had some decent parts here: "One's an innie, one's an outie!", and Lois's lockpicking abilities come to mind. Very good episode!

Frankenberry actually.
This was a pretty good episode. More story oriented then gag oriented. Though the Wonder Twin reference and the name of Peter's boat were funny gags, there weren't any real "flashback" scenes.
Peter saying he'd miss Lois, at least until he bought a Hustler magazine was funny or at least the only funny thing not already mentioned (You missed one DianaGohan :p)

Great Episode. peter looked like jabba the hut.all the channels showing spring break including CNN were pretty funny since no expects cnn to go to spring break every year like MTV. the wonder twins ring reference was pretty good.and the Auction with Quagmire bidding on womens undies was kinda sick dont see how he would bid on that.
I got to get the Family Guy dvds to see what i been missing on this show

I think an insult, because the joke showed how pointless some of their cartoons are. :p

I remember that FOX really, really loved the Meg story for some reason. For the episode, almost every promo (and it showed up a lot, too, odd for the show) had the guy going "One's an innie, one's an outie!" Then...on the rerun they had the same exact promos and showed up often too! That was very weird...

The more classy Family Guy bit had me in stitches.
and when Meg removed her Shirt "it's chick!??" reminds me of It's Pat.
funny how Meg lost her ihibitions the smae night as Lupin's Nudie-fest
That show would fit in very well on nickelodeon. Until they realize the show is actually good and then theyt cancel it while the fans screm bloody murder

"Peter Griffin: Husband, Father... Brother?" Family Guy Episode Review: Good, Bad... Mediocre?
Dennis Miller Live on the Television and Peter not getting it ("What the hell does rant mean"), Chris going into the game and wiping the floor and then Tom talking with his son, the cheerleaders and Stewie getting hyped up and then realizing what he's saying and then a flashback of Stewie and Brian getting hypnotized and kissing each other and Peter thinking of that one Cheerleader and then all those chicken drums appear around him, Chris talking street and Peter thinking Chris is possessed and Peter narrating his own life ("Of course I'd never tell her how disgusted with her cooking but somehow I think she knew) and them her hitting him, Chris listening to the rap on the T.V about a rapper with a hangnail, Peter's response to Chris's street talk, Stewie's plan on getting their attention (by dancing on the table and attracting them with his cuteness) and then talking about how easy it is to win them over, and then Peter talking about beating Chris with a hose, Chris and Peter playing operation with a real person, Peeter bringing Chris to the irish hertiage museum and the mechanical person sterotypes, Ireland's past being a futuristic world until they start drinking whiskey and get turned into drunk idiots, Chris not knowing what a library is and Peter's explanation, Osiris Griffin one of the few people with a phone, Thomas Griffin the philoshper, finding out Nathanial Griffin was black and his diary ("I was brushing down Lucy and brushed a hug fart by her") and then the family realizing they're part black, Stewie hanging with the cheerleaders and talking to Juice and him walking off and then Stewie trying to comprhend the "homosexuals form N*Sync" Peter not knowing how to be black except for not similing when taking a picture, Peter riding on Cleveland and then going to that comedey club and messing it up by talking about the news between on of the jokes and then trying to get out, and then cheering at an informational meeting and trying to leave again and finding the fire dog, Stewie thinking he's fat and then trying to puke out what he ate, Cleveland sharing the Rice Krispies and Peter talking about the past times (like when Florida lost James to the auto shop) and then the Fat Albert cameo, Stewie eating that treat and climbing up a tree, Peter's passie coming into the house, the Putersmith's ancestor (bartering with local indians and then finding out about the old relationship between Nate Griffin and the ancient Putersmiths). If you thought I would say Act two, you would be right. anyway, At was pretty good as well, with Peter yelling about calling him boy and Mr. Putersmith slipping on a train and accidentley whipping Peter, Stewie trying to find the secret of their mind control and Cindy yelling at them, and planning on elimanating Cindy and taking her place and watching them change, Peter in his africian clothing and his new name, Peter's demands (apology and Rice Krispies Treats) and getting 20,000 dollars from Mr. Putersmith, Peter saying does it look like he's looking into a bunch of robot penis, and then turning the living room in Peter's playhouse (a spoof of Peewee's playhouse), the officer throwing himself down to get Peter, Peter trying to give back a child's laughter then having to leave and being betrayed by the regular crowd and the Leper's, Stewie tying up Cindy and then Peter seeing Nate Griffin (who slept with a fine white woman and her sister) who peed in their slave master' toliet every morning and saying Heaven had a lack of chairs, Stewie's plan being ruined by the pyramid falling down, Peter giving away his money to everyone (although that was a bit like that part in the pilot "Death Has a Shadow"), and Cindy being found by Quagmire ("Dear Diary, Jackpot"). A fair episode that had some good jokes and some average ones. I give this one a B (which means no disrespct to any non-causcian viewers reading this review, it's just how I feel so... I'll shut up now).
Stewie tying up Cindy and then Peter seeing Nate Griffin (who slept with a fine white woman and her sister) who peed in their slave master' toliet every morning and saying Heaven had a lack of chairs
I'm pretty sure it was that he peed in his master's CEREAL every morning, or breakfast, or something like that.

The end of this episode (with Quagmire and the tied-up cheerleader) managed to effectively walk the line between creepy and hilarious.

I missed the first half of the ep, what was Stewie's plans for the weapons under the chairs? that was also the first time it seemed as if peopel responded to Stewie Talking.
I've been paying attention and rarely (if at all) does Stewie's dialogue get interacted with otyher than Brian. Brian gets interacted with alot, but peole only look at Stewie when he's talking.
Tobias

Stewie's plans for the weapons were never specified, but he thought the cheerleaders were sirens capable of hypnotizing people, so if he took control of them, he could use their power to enslave people.

Well as I'm watching the show, I'm writing the review (since I've seen most of the episodes already) on the actual site. Pretty clever, heh? Or not, I don't know.

The creators of Family Guy only have Stewie talk to other people if they think the situation would be funnier if he did. For example, there are times when he's talking directly to Peter and Chris and they understand him, and other times they don't. I guess they think Stewie's constant monolgues are funnier then his dialogues with others most of the time.

btw, anyone hear that little rap during the credits? i ask because that wasn't shown on FOX, so it was a nice extra.
tonight's episode is ok. Mort returns and we see him doing his job as a pharmacist, and Joe gets another story to himself.

Family Guy had quite a few gags hidden in the end credits during it's run, but FOX had to go with their stupid split screen technique and cut those out.

"Ready, Willing and Disabled" Family Guy Episode Review. Well are you ready for it, because I am willing and not disabled, so thus able to do it.
Did you know this is the last produced Family Guy Episode to focus on a member outside of the family? As a result, it should be pretty good, and it is. Jokes include: Tom naming all the people who were mean to him in Junior high, 60 seconds of filler, Chris saying high to his mom and just turning to her, Stewie holding his own car wash with a big wheel, the kids finding the money and Stewie wanting to buy ice cream with the money, Joe getting his lunch in a flintstone goof, naming that movie with Keanu Reeves and the Jimmy Carter mask, the chase scene where Joe gets the money and the guy gets away and Lois finally naming the movie (Point Break), Joe crying the guys backing and slinking away from him in a pretty slow sequence that's funny the first time you see it (espically when Peter comes back to get his drink), the kids hanging up flyers, Stewie naming all the guys the kids would be into, Chris mentioning the evil monkey again and then the origin how he became evil (found his monkey partner cheating on him), the devil and angel on Peter's shoulder and the angel shooting the evil devil, Peter trying to cheer up Joe ("I'm the guy who believed you could be a desk) convientley placed news reports in television shows ("Peter watch out for that skateboard) Peter in the Richard Simmons group, The doctor telling Joe he was paralyzed from the waist down, Mort thinking they wanted Steriods, Touched by an angel ("Now where exaclty did the angel touch you") Stewie telling Chris to get the handbook and then Brian keeping the money and it being in Stewie's diaper, the newscasters getting a cheap laugh from the disabled team, the teams (the wheelchaired, blind and deaf people, the 100 meter dash for people afraid of Yellow tape, Peter asking if he had food in his teeth, the Stephen Hawking clone laughing at Joe (Hah hah oh crap) and then tricking him, Stewie talking to Brian to get the 26 dollars ("You're silly, goodbye) Joe getting a short jump and then the SHC making fun of Joe and saying if his wife wanted some real sex to call him, Peter's rant on our Texas President ("Did George W. Bush Quit After Losing The Popular Vote? No. Did he quit after losing millions of dollars of his father's friends money and failed oil companies? No. Did he quit after knocking that girl up? No. Did he quit after he got that DUI? No. Did he quit after getting arrested for durnken disorderly conduct at a football game? No.") (, Peter taking the Steriods and then giving them to Joe ("Funny as in Jerry Sienfeld funny or Elaine Deboush thank god she's trying funny") Joe winning the gold and the Steriod juice making the lady bug big and carrying off that kid. The second act was good with Joe opening the Maternity ward, PEter breaking the alcholol bottle and the alchololics drinking it up, the Ancient Indian coming from the grave, Joe meeting up with the agent, the Joe Swanson Story (Although inaccurate. It claims Joe was crippled because of three gang members jumping him and beating him up. However In Joe's introductory episode (I put in Spoilers since it's not on Adult Swim yet), we see Joe was really crippled after fighting with the Grinch and getting hit from behind, falling of a roof. with Peter as the one who told him to give up and then saying they didn't have to watch Darhma and Greg, Peter pushing his thing down, the kids finding Brian's passport ("I'll do to you what I did to John Lennon" "Lennon meet Yoko") Stewie trying to get the others to get to let go of the money, Peter showing his accident (with a straw scarecrow as Peter's stuntdouble and then running over it as part of his story), Joe saving Mayor West Cat, and then calling all those guys on stages that could have been Peter (Espically the Cajun chef who didn't even do anything for him) , and then him telling everyone about the Steroids and SHC dancing around, the kids putting the money in a bowl and then fighting for it, and then the "real" owner claiming the money (nice impression of Charlie Brown by Stewie) Peter making fun of that newsgirl, finding the real theif again and Joe accidentley killing him, and that's it. A pretty nice Joe episode that's funnier the first time you see it by far. Still good though. A

Hmm, I seem to be in one of those offend everyone accidentley modes :p . Sorry if you feel I "kill" the talkback, but it's not because I list anything that it's only two pages. I noticed before I made my big review posts that it was dwindling since the first few weeks people were mainly talking about how great it is that FG is on AS and/or being offended by some of the jokes. I think that's what "killed" the Family Guy threads which is really ashame. And no offense, but I like to post my giant name every joke reviews, but maybe I'll just wait till later to post it. I've always liked this episode. It's structured similarly to an average CHiPs episode, with a crime being comitted in the beginning of the episode with the criminal getting away and then the same criminal commits virtually the same crime toward the end of the episode, but this time he's caught. In the bar at the end there's a guy in the background with a beard and a hat that looks like a slightly slimmer Peter Griffin, wearing green pants and a white shirt. I wonder where Bonnie was while all this was going on. you'd think think she would be consoling Joe in his darkest hour.

Jennifer Tilly probably wasn't available to voice Bonnie in this episode, since she's also an actress. It's hard to look at Bonnie and not picture Tiffany from "Bride of Chucky".

You "Screwed The Pooch" Family Guy Episode Review, so it's you who will get nuetered if you threathen to have sex with it.
Note: Since some people think my reviews are too long and clutter the board so that there aren't as many post as usual, I'll back sure that it's harder to read my reviews so people won't read them and think I said everything (until tomorrow anyway)
Note 2: Ah, forget it. Just don't read it if you don't like it.
Going to the zoo and Peter and the kids wanting to run around in no orderly fashion and getting the gas and the masks, Stewie making jokes about the animals ("You're all ripe for parody") and getting chased by the petting zoo animals, Peter going into the kangarooo's pouch ("Look at me Lois I'm Poo) and Stewie threathening Brian ("I am going to kick your ass") at the end, and that was all before the theme song. After it included Brian going to the Dog Park and talking to one of the guy there (who dosen't know he's a dog) and sniffing the girl dog's ass ("I thought I smelled cookies) and Mort looking down there, Peter's Poker face, Peter getting an email from Mr. Putersmith, and trying to act like a rich guy (and a Christmas Carol parody) reading the New Yorker and not getting one of the jokes for two days and then wanting a copy of jugs, laughing at the French way's saying yes ("You say doo doo for no?") changing the art at the museum, Peter saying he'll give away all his Star Wars figure except Boba Fett, and finding Brian masterbating ("Do we rub his face in it?"), Stewie relaxing at a shirtless guy's club, and watching World's sluttiest dogs and then folowing the family back, Mrs Putersmith saying she'll give Meg a liposuction coupon, Peter acting civilized and coming on board even if he wasn't invited, Peter swallowing the wine at the party and getting drunk, Stewie being massaged, walking up to the premiere of China , Peter in Survivor and realizing that it was just a shame with a game show in the background, Mr Putersmith saying he'll be in a elevator with all those annoying comedians and then Mr. Putersmith introducing Brian to Seabreeze, and Peter meeting Ted Turner, Michael Eisner and Bill Gates and then playing Poker with the guys ("I raise you CNN") and then Ted Turner walking out and then Peter knowing when TT would bluff (Since he did it on one of those news specials) Peter breaking mailboxes with the rich guys mooning the toll booth, looking up at the sky ("Who created God?") Bill Gates using the Microsoft sign to get a helicopter, and then Jesus being taken credit for Buddha, Peter "Going Indian", Brian violating Seabreeze and Stewie doing that little dance. Act two also had Peter not wanting to turn his back on Brian, Seabreeze being pregnent, Peter's plan of going back in time (which involved him spinning around and breaking some of the room) the picture Peter made of glue and macroni, and Peter imagining Mr Putersmith crushing it when MP threathened him, the old couple in the hotel room, the giant roches who threathened they would cut them ("I blame the school), Lois decoy being Chris and Quagmire coming up to them, Eisner and Gates using the satillite to track down Seabreeze ("They are ants") Tom Tucker being in the room (and saying he's his evil twin), Peter using the glass tube to ignore him and then farting in it and falling unconcious from the smell, Mr Putersmith saying Lois is having her period, Brian's incident at Denny's (where he yelled at the baby that was crying at the table next to him) Brian's rental records having Pauly Shore on them and Peter taping over Citizen Kane ("I just saved you from two boobless hours), and the Stretch Armstrong comment, Peter's testimony (with that guy puking in the background) Brian knowing more about the kids then Peter does, Brian being granted custodey while having to be nuetered first, Brian saying for Seabreeze not eating any of her puppies, Peter wanting Brian to have sex with a condor ("Heh, Flying Puppies") what Brian would be like if he was nuetered, Seabreeze having sex with Turner, Peter thinking dogs lay eggs and learning something today. A good amount of laughs and drama, but the two clashed too much to be a suberbly great episode. I give it an A-.

It just seems like giant lists of every joke in the episode are more something for a Family Guy fan website than a forum Family Guy review thread that will be forgotten in a week anyway. I mean, it's cool that you go to all that effort but it just doesn't seem worth it the way you're doing it now. It might also be easier to read those if you put in paragraph breaks every now and then.

I'm one of those tradition women who when I do something the first time, I stick to it and don't slouch off on the said task. In this case the review thread. I will try and take you're advice on the Paragraphs though, but if I don't, it will probably be because I'm also lazy when it comes to correcting traditions.

I'm proud to be one of the few people that cought the Monty Python reference in Monday's episode.
Also, it seems now no one gives a damn about new Family Guy. I blame the black and white cards.
Also, DianaGohan, I for one don't mind your reviews. They're well-written, and that's what these posts are for. (Although, I don't always read them, because they can be long, no offense) And if one doesn't like them, they can just ignore them and mention the jokes they thought were funny.
