View Full Version : Another ****ing Poll - Should "Cards" and "Anything Else" be separate?

The Anything Else thread grew to mammoth proportions this week. Think we should keep talk about the cards in their own separate thread?
Yeah, that'd probably be a smart idea.

Probably the best idea, IF they're going to be unique every night. If they start repeating, then we can round 'em back into the "anything else" thread.
I say no. The anything else talkbacks have been getting less replies lately & the cards have really help them out. If the cards get their own talkbacks, then the anything else talkbacks will revert back to one page per week.

Agreed.
(This space added due to 10-character limit..........how you doing tonight? I'm good, thank you)

This is my vote.

Yay, definetly make a seperate thread for the cards :)

Like everyone else is saying, since they're different every night and very entertaining, it's threadworthy.

I doubt I would read either one, but a seperate thread would make it easier for people wanting to discuss other shows who don't want to sift through card discussion.

I hate seeing another pinned topic, as we already have too many of those. And I think discussion of the cards will settle down a little once the novelty of them starts to wear off. I vote nay.

I think it's a good idea. I'd start doing it next week, but don't bother fixing it this week. Like Matthew Williams said, if the cards go into repeats, (knock on wood) move them back into the Anything Else once more.

if all else fails, i can split and merge threads

If they do end up seperate, and the "Anything Else" thread doesn't get a lot of replies, I say it should be a non-sticky thread. Something that's there for those who want it, but not up there with the new material. As we get into more and more repeats, we're going to have less and less reviews.

Yay.
Why would they go into repeats? They're so easy to make...in fact, they're probably making them now...

To reduce the amount of Stickage, maybe a WS Hour Thread? I dunno, just a thought.

have made sure not to do that since day one, because they're not all one show.

I don't think so. Not many people really discuss repeats and the novelty of the cards will eventually wear off and wouldn't be able to maintain its own review thread. I say keep Card Discussion in the Anything Else thread. I always viewed "Anything Else" as a "Miscellaneous Adult Swim" thread and I think cards count as "miscellany".
Besides I doubt it'd get as many replies next week.

Personally, I say try a separate non-sticky card thread next week and see how it goes. If it goes well, keep it up until there's no longer a need for it. Otherwise, just keep them both in the Anything Else thread.

The cards deserve their own city, but for now, a thread would do.

As much as I love the cards, I don't think they should have their own thread. Anything Else has little-to-no discussion without the cards and sooner or later the cards won't become that big of a deal anymore. I think it's fine the way they are.
