One of the Cartoon Network "Groovies" (cartoon music videos played as fillers at the end of an hour) features scenes from a Betty Boop cartoon. She is participating in an auto race. The music played is "Rollin'" by the group Soul Coughing (yes, there really is such a group). Does anyone know what cartoon is featured in that video? I haven't seen that particular cartoon on Late Nite Black & White recently.

The name of the Betty Boop cartoon you are asking is 1933's "Betty Boop's Kerr-Choo"

...one bit, in which Betty is playing a calliope, is taken from an different picture. I believe it's the one about the invention fair.
BTW, I saw a Betty Boop cartoon last Saturday on AMC. She was topless and wearing only a lei... http://cwm.ragesofsanity.com/otn/shocked/Wow.gif http://cwm.ragesofsanity.com/otn/realhappy/bigok.gif http://cwm.ragesofsanity.com/otn/realhappy/op485.gif http://cwm.ragesofsanity.com/otn/tongue/lickthe.gif...and her boyfriend Bimbo was in blackface, pretending to be the deity of some primitive island people, until a sudden shower washed off his makeup and revealed his ruse.

Sounds like Betty Boop's Bamboo Isle. Do they show those on AMC with any regularity, or is it just sort of a filler in between movies? It sounds like the latter. Even if they tended to show them at the end of movies frequently (like CN does with Groovies) I'd try to tune in as shows were ending. I have watched AMC occasionally in the past and haven't seen any of them on there, is this a new habit? I don't have AMC right now, but will in a couple of weeks when school ends and I go home.

I'm surprised that CN doesn't air the "Bedrock Anthem" music video from Weird Al Yankovic.
I'd rather see that than those two PPG groovies that get played ALL THE TIME.

I that song in MP3 form on Aimster.I quit Napster cause they banned me.Probably because of my HUGE Eminem collection. Just to let you all know, I have 2 different Rollin's one by Limp Bizkit and one by Soul Coughing. Be careful!

From our (me+brother+mother) experience with AMC, it's pretty hit-or-miss. You stand about
as much a chance of seeing that as, say, some Jerry Fairbanks/Educational Films short or
WB/Pathé Newsreel (insert rooster crow here).

AMC used to have a half-hour show of Betty Boop cartoons every Saturday morning circa 1995-96. The official title was "Betty Boop and Friends", even though they only showed Betty Boop cartoons and Screen Songs that Betty appeared in.
