Friends with a saint

One of my best friends is practically a saint.
He has high morals, does missionary work, and works with the poor.

But, ultimately though, my friendship is different. I can't really make rude jokes around the guy. I really can't be myself. So my friendship is on a downhill slope since it's validity decreases with time.

Can one be friends with a "saint" ?

I would say yes, if you have a high tolerance level, and don't mind being reminded you are damned (assuming he is a christian).

I know several of those "saint" people. They rarely are true saints. Maybe you don't see him in his down time. Even if someone is truly a "saint" it doesn't seem to last for long.
