A few years ago, I saw this live-action roadshow musical based on Pokemon. Has anyone else ever saw this? I'll post some info of it later.

I haven't seen it but according to TVTome.com one of the images that flashes by in the "Best at being the worst" is the cut scene from Beauty and the Beach (AKA Holiday at Apocalo).

First thing I thought when I saw the title of this thread...

Wow, that's gotta put a strain on the animators.

Pokemon Live Songs (http://www.ekidsinternet.com/ecenters/pokemon/showtime/songs.html)

The dances and songs were a lot more impressive, if you actually saw it live. A lot of the songs went along with these really cool interperative dances. I really like how "Everything Changes" sounds.

It even played in The Radio City Music Hall of all places.

This live stage version of the show, play at the Fox Threater in downtown Detroit, 2 years back. From what I heard from my little cousin was that it was okay. He prefers the cartoon over live-action anyday. He was 5 years when it went to it.

Sorry but those links you posted didn't work. As for the Pokemon Live! show, I used to be into Pokemon big-time. No more but still wish I could have seen the show. I heard 4-KIDS was going to release a tape version of the show on VHS but hasn't happened.

Digressing...

everyone remember those cheapol stage shows when you were young? I was doing some microfilm research some months ago and I stumbled upon this really really cool ad from 1987:

LORIMAR/TELEPICTURES PRESENTS:
THUNDERCATS LIVE!

ALSO FEATURING:
SILVERHAWKS
KARATE KAT
GUMBY
and some other shows I keep forgetting.

ALL THIS WEEK AT THE SPECTRUM!

I just want to build a time machine, go back in time, and see that. Sure, it almost certainly blew, but it sure looks like it was a trip...

The words "Never Judge a Book By It's Cover" comes to my mind as look at the pictures for it...

...but I can't help it. It looks awful.

They pretty much look awful because they were taken from a dress rehersal, with no makeup. That, and they were taken in the lowest quality possible(well, maybe not THAT low, but pretty low). It looked a lot more impressive live.

I remember hearing about it. From the pictures I saw, it reminds me of that scene from "Norm" where he's dealing with a kid who thinks he's Ash. The regular cast all appear as either Pokemon or TR.

As a hardcore pokemon fan, I wanted to see it but I don't think it ever came to Pittsburg. Those liars at pokemon.com said it would be out on video but it never came. Now I'm just looking online for the soundtrack out there, but it's hard to find.
