What do you guys think..? I remember Eek the cat being on of the funniest cartoons from my childhood, not to mention I loved when they rolled the ending credits with a video that was fitted for a certian Beatles song 'Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds' that song always manages to make me feel good. Eek the cat was never an exceedingly lame, or sick humoured show. most people I grew up around also knew it as being an 'All good' show. It may not have had cunning edge art qualities but they never CGIed it lowered the humour value or anything to that effect. Plus I loved the opening sequence where Eek was running around avoiding perils just to get crushed by his own show title after it he thought that was all of it...

Also...What are the funniest parts of this show you guys recall..?

Mine would be the Squishy Bears running from the law. :murphy:

When the Squishy Bears were disarming the Bomb (I can't recall their real names right now)

Fuzzy: (reading from a bomb manual) There's a blue wire and a red wire. Cut the red wire!

Wuz Wuz(?): You read that pretty good for a dyslexic.

Fuzzy: That's lysdexic.

Other bears: Cut the Blue wire! The Blue wire!

I think it should return. It was a pretty funny show in it's own right, and had the privlige of being one of the few shows to have a good other show in it (That would be the Thunderlizards). One of my favorite moments was the jaws parody episode, where eek was watching the pool to see if that killer fish would come out. It's one of those you had to have been there moments.

I think it should return aswell. It was a very funny cartoon and I loved his dog (or whatever it was). I really got to re-enjoy the memories of this cartoon when fox family started out and they aired it right after the real ghostbusters. :)

Let certianly hope Disney doesn't have Eek. That would ruin it unless they sold it...

I think the dog you are talking about is Sharky.

I also liked that skinny paranoid cat that wore Mittens.
He was named mittens...Ha... :french1:

Actually, I hate to say it, but I think Disney has Eek. It last aired on then-Fox Family a few years back but has been off for a while now.

I definitely think the show should come back. It was one of my favorites as a kid and is still good enough to entertain me to this day.

yeah, Eek was on Fox Family some time ago.
Thunderlizards were hilarious (When will the hurting stop?- Bill)
Thugasaurs: funny, General Galapagos: funny

Eek was funny too. i vaguely remember the Squishy Bears. For some reason the Bears from Duckamn spring to mind. Oh well.

My faves were the runamuck Penguins (Shut up, Piggy!!!)
the Rainman Octopus (Yeah, definitely.)
The Incredible Amazing Elmoand his poor, sick nephew Timmy.
Mittens the Cat (AWWW MAN!!!)
And of course Sharky.

And I remember an ep like Fatal Attraction...and I asl o remeber a Charlie Brown joke (wawawaaawawaaawaaa) & Star Trek joke in one ep

I think there was another feature on the show called Klutter (about a pile of dirty clothes that was alive). It sucked. I think it only got 2-3 short stories

Sam and Max were a dog and rabbit who were also detectives. Their show was extremely shortlived on FOX kids.

Sam and Max: Freelance Police I think was the name of the show. Come to think of it, everything Fox premiered in the few years before they dropped their programming was short lived, lasting less than a few months. Well, outside of Digimon and Power Rangers.

If Eek! was on Fox Family Channel, that doesn't mean it's (necessarily) with Disney now - if that's what you guys are saying, that is. Disney owning ABC means Disney runs the current Family Channel, not the old Fox version.

I'd love to see Eek! again. It was one of the funniest shows from my 20s/30s childhood :D

I loved Eek the Cat and the Terrible Thinderlizards!!!! Such a great show. I wished i had taped more episodes when its on in the summer 1998.

One of the funniest things ever on Terrible Thunderlizards was when Scooter found a camera and started doing this comedy act and got Bill to try and then a jungle slug came and started eating Bill and Scooter kept laughing cuz he thought it was Bill's act. FUNNIEST THING EVER!!!

Mad Jack the Pirate was anoather awesome cartoon not only was it about Pirates which i love by the way but it was funny. I'm glad i taped all those ones.

I'd love to see EEk again. Especially with the Thunderlizards 9the real reason i watched the show)

the funniest bit I remember was in Thunderlizards: one of them asks if a certain thing is a bad thing, then the short one replies 'Yes, I beleive this fits well into the 'bad things' category" I use that phrase all the time

But part of the purchase of the Family Channel assets included the Saban (FoxKids) film library, so yes, Disney does own it.

"When does the hurting stop" (need I say more?)

I loved it whenever ever Eek's girl friend would talk about how fat she is and Eek would replay "really?" Classic stuff!

Disney owns it... don't expect it to come back. Curse you DISNEY!!! I want my Eek, Sam & Max, Ninja Turtles:TNM, Spider-Man:TAS (uncut and in order), Digimon seasons 1 and 2, and Ned's Newt!

Does anybody remember the musical episodes where those three Goth cats kidnapped Annabelle?

Does anybody remember the aliens that kept invading?

Does anybody remember Eek's family?

Yes, I was about mention the Goth Cats musical episode, it was my favorite Eek episode of all time.

Eek had a werid family, the Mom was always learning a forigen language, and the kids WendyElizabeth and J.T. were always going at it. It was a great show and is definetly missed.

Great show.
The funniest part for me is when that alien spaceship landed in the side of the FBI building.

"What is it Scully?"

I would also like to see Sam & Max on TV again. That show was also very funny.

No news on any new TV show or showing the old one, but I think Lucas Arts is working on a new Sam & Max game.

I can only remember 2 episodes:

The one where Eek's family went on vacation in California. Eek was scared because he heard that a big earthquake would sink California into the Ocean. In the end, California was just fine...but the rest of the country had sunk :D

And the one where Sharky became a rap star because a chicken bone was caught in his throat. I LOVE that one :D :D

One of the all-time funniest "Eek!" moments, IMO, comes at the end of "The GraduEEK". Sharky befriends a beautiful young woman, Nina, but unfortunately, she's going to become...a mail carrier! Sharky rescues her from the post office and they escape on a bus. The ending is a terrific amalgam of The Graduate (uh, duh), Ferris Bueller's Day Off and Savage Steve Holland's own Better Off Dead. I just love this line:

"Would you like a Squishy Bear bit? They're warm from being in my pocket."

I also love General Galapagos' recurring line: "Nobody believes me, but we dinosaurs are doomed. I just know it."

I would love to see this show again.
