Just wondering if someone can confirm whether tonight's Angel is the season premiere? Thanks.

yes, today should be the season premiere. speaking of angel, i went to www.scifi.com and they said angel is going to be in widescreen from here on out. now is it shot in widescreen or just a makeshift widescreen with black bars slapped on to the film?

Yeah it was in widescreen. BTW, the show rocked!

Yeah, it did rock!
Did you see the LOTR trailer? One word, Wow. I've already got a space reserved among my top 3 favorite movies just waiting for it.

--it was a great show. A few assorted spoilers:
Buffy has been dead for three months, and Angel feels guilty that he's able to keep going.
An old "friend" of Angel is out for revenge--seems the vamp with a soul has staked his lover. So he has an operation to have his heart removed, thus rendering him immortal for a short while.
Fred's still crackers, and has written all over the walls of her room trying to hear that "click" in her brain that happens when everything comes together coherently.
Gunn is afraid of rats but won't admit to it.
Wesley is smitten with his new 16th-century dagger Angel picked up while on vacation at a monastery full of undead monks. He can't wait to kill something with it.
Angel and Cordy bicker so much you'd think they were lovers. At one point he can't find some weapon, and she says she moved it to the basement because it was collecting dust.
Cordy likes it when her little ghost pal scrubs her back.
I'm worried that Cordy may have an aneurism before the season's over. Those visions of hers are getting stronger, and the last one had her writhing on the floor.
Darla is pregnant!
Plus my reception on the WB has been good and clear for the first time in months. Since the Emergency Number Bombings it's been crystal. I guess God works in strange ways, raising roses from dungheaps and all that. I've always said the Guy Upstairs had a strange sense of humor--after all, He created sloths.

LOL! Yup, I'd have to agree, though I wouldn't consider it a suprise by any means, Fred is still "crackers."

I admitt I was extremely worried about ANGEL's premiere, after the WB and UPN split. David Greenwalt (Angel) and Joss Whedon (Buffy) always worked together, and even created Angel together. So once the split thing happened I wasn't sure if this would have any kind of effect on Angel or not. But things look JUST as great as they were last season!

Well, except I taped it (just seemed like the right thing to do) and there was constant friggin sunfade. ARG!! Minute, but it was still annoying. And then there was my roommate's gf and her roommate being annoying but that's another topic. :)

I wasn't too worried about the premiere. One article which I read in the past which really made me appreciate Joss Whedon's devotion was where they were filming something for the middle of season 1, and Joss whedon was apparently in la la land and Charisma Carpenter asked him what he was thinking of, and he replied "I'm trying to think of an ending for episode 17 in season 2." (not exactly, but something like that) So I'm guessing much of this season was already written in the past.

The widescreen looked nice, eh? And yes - it is 'official' widescreen, not just black bars placed over the screen. And boy - it looks GOOD!!

widescreen certainly has that "drama" feel to it. as for wesley's hair, i don't really like it. it kind of like a bad hair piece; he needs some gel on that mop.

Yeah, it seems that team Whedon is gonna give us another great year of Angel. Great!

So about the whole shocker at the end:Didn't Angel say at one time that he couldn't be a father? So could it be Lindsey's from when Darla was human? What a freaky development. Wonder what the kid will be like?

Speaking of Angel, is anyone watching the Buffy reruns on FX? It's funny to see how a bigger budget has changed stuff. The story was just as good back then, but the FX and fights weren't near as good.

i think sarah michelle gellar looked her best in season 1 and season 2. she seemed to get a bit on the skinny side as the years progressed.

Oh really?! I didnt think Vampires could do that, so I was wondering if it could be Angel's.

Widescreen gives it a more cinematic feel to it. It looks like ABC and CBS ar enow the only networks that don't air widescreen shows.

Angel was okay, but I'm going to stop watching come mid-November. With Samurai Jack's recent move to 9:00 PM, I'm almost certain that when Justice League premieres, it will be at 9:30 PM and not the originally announced 8:30 PM. I don't think Angel will last on The WB after this season. Being teamedwith 7th Heaven instead of Smallville could kill the show.

She was cute back then. She looked like a kid (even though she was older than the character she played). Now, she looks like a woman. Maybe it's just me, but after seeing reruns on FX, that was my observation.

LOL! I noticed that too! I've noticed it with a lot of shows thanks to Buffy and DBZ. When a vamp got dusted, the actor screamed something like 'ow!' and then fell to the ground, where the 'poof' happened. Not what we've been used to, eh? lol.

It's so weird and sort of heartbreaking for me to see them that young, knowing I missed my chance to grow up with the characters on this great show. Oh well. :D
