Sounds like a great package, but it's too bad they couldn't have included a WB cartoon that might have actually been played with the movie in theaters when it first came out.

I hate it when people misspell Looney TUNES. But I remember Carrotblanca, a recent 1995 short. It was actually a fun short to watch.

I wonder if Bogard watched Looney Toons? :p

I really enjoyed Carrotblanca (which certainly has received mixed reviews in the past here at the TTTP), and am looking forward to it being on DVD. Moreover, that DVD sounds amazing! For anyone here who hasn't seen it, "Casablanca" is a great movie, and this sounds like a wonderful package. All those supplemental features sound great! And for only $26.99, quite the deal.

Tell me, though: was that an official Warner Home Video press release? And they still misspelled Looney Tunes? Somehow, I'm not surprised.....

I think we know the answer to that.

Maybe that's why it took so long for LT DVDs....they couldn't find them in their archive spelled like that.

I think Carrotblanca is an OK cartoon, even though I've never seen Casablanca :p

Why, oh WHY did they decide to spell it "Tiny TOON Adventures" and not "Tiny TUNE Adventures", to be consistant with the inspiration, "Looney TUNES"? That has confused people for years, and I LIKE Tiny Toons. Err....Tiny Tunes. Toons. Tunes. Yarghhhhh!!!!! I have a feeling people would have a lot less trouble spelling it right if they had been consistent in the spelling of that show and its classic inspiration. That, and why did Roger Rabbit popularize the word "toon"....but I can cut that one some slack. :)

okay. Let me get this straight.

cartoon
toon
tune
Tiny Toons
Looney Tunes

I think the original proposed name might have been Tiny Tune Adventures, since that's the way I saw it spelled in a couple old news articles put out before the show's premiere.

In the context of Roger Rabbit, I've heard it was sort of meant to be a racial slur (a modification of "coon") to sort of stress that "toons" weren't considered as important as real human beings were.
